A new Channel 4 drama called Humans.
It certainly got me interested. I like that clever way of advertising.
I had to Google last night to work it out. Very clever indeed!!!
Just need to know...... Can you shag them....?

^^^ This. Despite the fact that I clearly remembered being bitterly disappointed with it and this 100+ plus threads existence, my brain still played this trick on me too and thought how bad could it really be?

I managed to get as far as the bit where the "Mapping Expert" you know the guy whose sole responsibility it was to MAP the whole structure with his clever autonomous laser MAPPING devices got lost, yes he actually got lost and no one involved with this film thought, hang on a second, that's just stupid before I had to turn it off in disgust.

What's worse is that if all they needed to do was release the mapping drones and wait for the 3D holographic map to be constructed on the ship, then they could have chucked them in the door and then retired to the ship for a few hours rather than wandering around blind. But, of course, that wouldn't have served the purposes of the film.

And that's what really gets me about the whole film - the motivation for every nonsensical act of a crew-member is "because we need it to set up the next action / horror sequence". With some of the characters we don't get any other reason than that.

Someone mentioned Guardians of the Galaxy. That's the complete opposite - why does Star Lord start to do a bizarre dance-off to 80's music? Because throughout the film we've learned about his background, his likes, his motivations, his character, and it's completely in character for him to do that. That's what makes that scene so brilliant.

In Prometheus, some of the crew members even act out of character (like the Biologist who has up until now been a coward and very risk-averse suddenly deciding to do something dangerous and stupid) because the plot demands it.

Anyway, I promised myself I wouldn't get into this again. Sorry.

Suck-er!!!

I'm sure people who have watched the extended version says that scene makes more sense. I'm not ever gonna buy it though.

I just googled this to read about the deleted scene and surprisingly it actually makes sense so why take the decision to leave this scene on the cutting room floor as well as some other bits too.

Still wouldn't make it a good film but would go a long way to remove some of the "why the f**k did they just do that" moments from the film.

Well, we won't be going to the cinema to watch it, not after the last one - even though the tickets are only £2.50...

The stupidity of Prometheus still annoys when I think about it!

Just watched the deleted scenes. They would have made a much better film on their own.
