Likewise Me too. After watching the first films again I think. Another Throughout the film I was trying to recall dates, part of me thinks what are the chances that Elizabeth is Ellen's Mother? This could just about be plausible since Ripley was born in January 2092. They awake on the ship in December 2093, having been in stasis for 'almost' two years. But then sometimes I think too much.

The ship is seen leaving him behind. His sacrifice was planting the DNA, hence the genetic breakdown in the water where life began, a reference to Darwinism.

Having some difficulty finding 2D showings at decent times that suit so going straight after work this eve with a friend who also works locally. We have a good independent in cinema in the town I live in, sadly they are only showing it in 3D.
I refuse to see it in 3D unless it can be IMAX, and even then its utterly pointless anyway and its the sheer size of the screen that impresses.

Go watch this film.
I'm on a horse.

My nearest Showcase cinema (which I wouldn't usually frequent, but seems to be the only local one to me doing 2D) has two showings a day in 2D. They also have about ten 3D. I can't stand the 3D unless it's at Imax or something like that.

I'm off for a second watch, now in 3D. I feel that there's so much little details in the film that you should watch it at least twice to get the full picture.

I just got back. I was going to say Mmmmmmmm not sure but I did see it after 2 hours kip after filming Guns n Roses at the O2 which didn't finish until 2am, so bed at 4am, woken by giant bumblebee on my face at 6am plus the A/C at the cinema was on high so I was bloomin' freezing thus I kind of wanted the film to finish before I got hypothermic. So feeling a little fragile. Might go again in a couple of weeks and see it in iMax 3D. C-Section

Gretchen said: Oh, and I also want to watch Lawrence of Arabia now too. having slept on it for at least 3 hours i'm having second thoughts its still good and worth watching but im rating it down to 6.5/10 big spoilers here don;t click if you havnt seen it. I really enjoyed the begining reminded me of 'proper' sci fi almost 2001 like. Fasbender was brilliant. there are some things that really annoyed me, for instance you're the captain of a ship, 2 of you men are in danger hding from a storm in an unkown alien structure, do you really leave them alone to go shag somebody? well obviously i would but lets face it the first time we have encounted proof of intelligent life and all they want to do is get laid on the first day they land? in fact in only a few hours from landing. havn't they got other stuff to be getting on with.
he has a probe that is regeristering alien life and hes so nonchalant about it its ridiculas. yeah probly a glitch
sorry does not seem right with me. oh and the geologist was a t t didnt seem like a scientist to me.
also they were convinved very easily and quickly to give their lives and crash into the alien ship.
"its going to earth you have to stop them!" yeah ok i'll just commit suicide and we will too captain.
