Did anyone see Ashton Kutcher, with the assistance of the writers obviously, completely screw up what was a brilliant comedy?

Despite everything Charlie Sheen always stated he would, and always did, the best performance he could do playing Charlie Harper. I couldn't see why they were bothering to carry it on, and now I know for a fact they really shouldn't have bothered.

hehe That's because he wasn't acting!

TBH, 2.5 men without Sheen is like how Fawlty Towers would have been without Cleese. Distinctly below-par.

Very true. laugh

I don't think it took much writing, it was just a documentary of Charlie Sheen's life from week to week.

The heavily watered down version.

He hasn't done bad out of being kicked off the show though, $125 million to pay off his contract. Winning!

I didn't want to like it after watching it for years and watching Jake grow up,BUT I had to admit,it wasn't as bad a transition as I would have thought,I personally think the writers have killed Charlie off, gone, out of sight and mind perfectly, and done a good job of it too.
As said above I think Charlie was acting his real life out
Loved the idea that Rose was totally mad, much more psycho, than we ever thought.

I liked it, watched it twice last night (once alone once with a friend, I'm not crazy!) and thought it was well done, I knew all along that Charlie would be dead, That's how bad things got between Chuck and Charlie.

We didn't really see much of Kutcher (pixellating helped there!!) as he was just arriving, I'll wait until the next episode before I judge whether it has jumped the shark or not!

Thought it was ok but will need to see more. Not sure why they even bothered with Jake, he had about 2 lines.

I read in the paper yesterday that charlie sheen stated in an interview that he WILL be back on 2.5 men. And you know what, I believe him...

I hope so, what better storyline could they use than Alan even being haunted by his brother....

Or something daft like Rose pushed the wrong person in front of the train, he witnessed it and decided to go into hiding for a while.

Or Charlie stalking Rose.

Saw it, thought it was terrible. The funeral gags with the ex girlfriends; way too predictable. And why did that Ashton Kutcher bloke have to get naked within 5 minutes of appearing on screen? Nowhere near as good without Charlie Sheen, and if he did come back it'd be tricky to write in but sure as hell would be funny.

Any option to bring Sheen back is a good option tbh.
