Sad news indeed when someone who brought light to peoples lives passes, together with Jimmy Perry he left a comedy legacy for years to come.

Very sad indeed. Went to school with his grand-daughter and met him when she had a birthday party at his house. Very nice bloke as well as a comedy legend.

The fact the shows like Dads Army are still on today and still loved as much, if not more, says it all.

Wasn't crazy about Dad's Army -preferred Ain't Half Hot Mum- but still a fine body of work to leave

If only something like Dad's army and all the rest were about today.
I watch the television sometimes and find all these trendies with posing expressions sick.
Worse still is the USA crap..
Talk about indoctrination to our young people.

Can someone recommended something to match the standard of those two writers and the acting of the Dad's Army cast.
