Just watched the new trailer, looks good. WTF is that at the end though?

Is it time we got a poll going for fav Marvel character? I dunno why, I like Hulk. I really like the Ed Norton version, the less said about Ang Lee the better. But i think the strength and power thing is awesome. I guess, while Hulk is a far fetched character, there is 0.0000001% chance that something like that could happen in real life. Plus i'd say Hulk is the best theme park ride...

Don't like his new face. Made it look too much like Ruffalo.

I like iron man, its just more tangible for me. I would like to think we can all "hulk" when absolutly required. Its difficult as I sit here and type this as I see qualities in all of the heros that i have a half finger on; but then i suppose thats the point, why its interesting, I also like the green lantern...... we need to move away from spandex though.....

That's because they have used motion capture this time round: http://collider.com/mark-ruffalo-hulk-the-avengers...

Think it will be interesting to see how it pans out.

Another Hulk fan here, btw.

Ok heres some questions from a non-comic book reader;
In Capt. America movie, the red skull is transported to 'the gods' (where Thor and Loki come from)
Iron Man is powered by the arc reactor thing that his old man got from the power cube (of the gods), and therefore is 'god like'
Thors obv
Capt America is on roids basically
The Hulk is CA gone wrong with the incorrect dosage
But where/how do Black Widor and the Archer guy get their powers from?

Also, if the Red Skull did get transported to the Gods, are they keeping him back for a CA2 or a future movie?

That was awesome.

Oh god, I'm turning into an American.

BTW, I don't think Black Widow has any powers. Not sure about Hawkeye.

They don't have any, that's why it's really stupid to have them in it IMO. Since they aren't original Avengers and compared to the rest aren't 'all that'. Might as well have some random Delta force types there. There is no point to it.

Shame they cant draft Wolverine in and watch him go to town with his claws (which is what everyone wants to see)

hmm...not sure.....it worked really well having the marines in Transformers....think its important otherwise it just ends up being supergoodie vs superbaddie? (again like superhero films of old which only had geek audiences)

Sorry but I am going to have to disagree completely on this one, Micheal Bay's insistance on adding in the human element like LeBeouf and the marines was totally pointless. Like Transformers would need assistance from some puny humans to kick ar*e? wink

Equally I find "Superheroes" without any real superpowers a bit boring tbh. After all isn't the whole point of a superhero movie to see characters which have otherworldy powers? The clue is in the name, Superheroes, not Average Joe Heroes.

It's one of the reasons I can't really take Batman seriously as a superhero (sorry Dark Knight fans) I mean he works well enough in his own world but it gets silly when you start mixing him in with real Superheroes and Super villains with real powers and he still wins but only because of how popular he is. Bats beats Superman...REALLY??

Ignoring 2 and 3....it worked well in the first ones because its people defending their own thing - rather than earth just being a setting for robots to battle. Do you really think a 'proper silver surfer' type movie (or similar) would actually have commercial success?

on this point, however, we agree entirely! batman vs Judge Dredd was entertaining. but superman was just silly. and I also want my superheroes to have powers

Right glad we got that resolved then! thumbup

I have no problem with humans in Superhero movies, I just don't want them to be the main focus of the story which happens far too often. I prefer them in the more traditional role of "collateral damage" biggrin

While I do agree with the superheroes need power trope. I did like it when Batman beat Superman, The Dark Knight Returns is a great story of showing how it could be done.

The film the Dark Knight works because it is real. When they try and shove Bats in the JLA film...well lets see how that flys?biggrin

And I have said many times, Transformers without humans would have been much better, it was pathetic showing that humans could go against TFs.
