Also, the Stark building... why on earth would you have all the doohickies and robot arms and stuff outside in plain sight? Does it never rain there? Are there no strong winds? No sniper threats??

Saw this yesterday afternoon with the kids (mid teens).

Best two movies I've seen in the last year are this movie and the 2nd Sherlock Holmes one

Brilliant movie smile

IMDB even have it at 9.0 rating ... and that's rare smile

If you've not seen it ... go see it

ps Saw it in 2D, dont think that 3D would add much, other than a headache

Cheers

This can't possibly be considered a spoiler as it was a case of 'when' not 'if', but am I the only one who is starting to find Stan Lee's cameos in these films rather tedious now?
It is a tad cringeworthy now, almost like Clive Cussler always appearing in his books.

But who was that villain after the credits.
Read back a page or two - it's been answered several times in spoiler tags including a link to further info.
Im not so sure he will be the bad guy in Avengers 2, we will see what happens in Iron Man 3 next year smile
Thanks found it

Certainly not me, I love it. Loved it spotting Hitch, love it spotting Lee or Ferigno or any other cameo. It's what makes the knowledge specialbiggrin

You're not thinking like Tony Stark would.

Awesome. Just awesome.

It could have been terrible but they totally nailed it! Every charater has a point and a purpose, they all get a story, even the random "human heroes". It's action packed, it's interesting, it's funny and it's got Robin from HIMYM.

Brilliant even if the Hulk steals the show, Loki vs Hulk and "The Punch" were hilarious.

Might have to go and see it again and I haven't done that in a LONG time.

This weekend I have watched Captain America, Thor, Avengers Assemble and Cowboys & Aliens. May as well complete the brain rot and watch 'Sky Captain & The World of Tomorrow' next. ha ha.

BTW, one thing gets me about Iron Man. And, indeed Robocop. Your exterior may be almost invulnerable but your wetware is still susceptible to concussion. I know that is pretty insignificant compared to everything else you have to accept in the films but it still annoys me. paperbag

Saw it today. Fantastic film.

I love RDJ as Tony Stark; and like others have said there was what I think the yoofs today call "megalolz" at the two scenes that others have hinted at.

And yes, there is a scene after the credits.

Oh, one thing I would say is that I would definitely give the 3D a miss. I found it gimmicky and distracting and think the film would probably be better in 2D.
I saw it in twod and didn't miss threed at all; can't see how threed could have enhanced it anyway.

Yes, but it is Immediately *before* the "white on black" credits roll this time.

And you'll need to be up on your Marvel stuff to get it.

As for Agent Coulson, I will really miss him. There is a great "extra" on (I think) the Thor DVD devoted to him, set in a convenience store. Brilliant. But his death is what pulls the team together, and what undoes all Loki's work on the heli carrier trying to undo the Avengers. Plus it is was a neat nod to Thunderbird in the seminal Giant Sized X Men #1, as was the collapse of the Shield HQ to the collapse of Sunnydale at the end of BTVS S7.

Oh deat. I seem to have just disclosed myself as a complete anorak

Agent Coulson, or 'Phil' as we have learned to call him, was the Wedge Antilles of the Marvel films franchise. It was a total shock to me and I find disproportionately sad over it.
