You see the thing about the *after the movie ends extra scene* is that its only relevent to the next film, not the one you have just scene. We all know there will be one, but you want to go home and you know it will be on the DVD or online, all of which will be available before the next movie comes out. So there is no point staying. We didnt and I knew there would be some extra stuff. All Ive needed to do was read this thread and I know what it is.
You could say the same thing about the whole film though. Each to their own. smile

For me it adds to the magic of cinema, I liked it when they put the name of the next bond film in the credits for example.

Really enjoyable film, although I think it's probably best to watch all the 'solo' character movies first, which is no great ordeal. Good action scenes, a decent balance between the characters (IMO it could have become 'Iron Man 3' too easily), and lots of humour sprinkled into the mix:

'Loki is beyond reason, but he's of Asgard and he's my brother.'

'He killed 80 people in 2 days!'

'He's adopted.'

that line and the blind punch and puny god had everyone laughing

just saw it in 2d today, loved it, and chris hemsworth certainly helps smile

We saw this yesterday. Really good fun, and thankfully genuinely funny.

Mind you, I'd like anything with RDJ in lick

Saw this last night in 3D, was pretty fun I thought. Was worth it just to see the Prometheus trailer in 3D.

Surprise of the night was that my girlfriend could still see the 3D despite having poor vision in one eye.

Went with my brothers last night to see this. We all really enjoyed it. Plenty of action and funny scenes.

Had to watch it in 3D as the Odeon in Blackpool as they only had 3D screenings for the late showings. I'm still not convinced by 3D. Some scenes in films can look great, but then I think it takes away from other scenes.

We got the Prometheus trailer, I cannot wait to see that.

Obviously they knew the cool kids were in that night. There was cun everywhere.

you know at the start of the trailer when the text is coming up 'PROMETHEUS'. Well that's all in 3D, right in your face. Seriously it was freakin awesome.

Didn't get the Prometheus trailer, perhaps as we saw it in 2D?

Only trailer of interest was Dark Shadows which, with Eva Green's outfit would have been well worth 3D.

One of the trailers at the showing I went to was for the new Snow White film which, I have to say, looks promising from the trailer.

IT WAS AWESOME!!!

Total marvel fangeek and i though whedon did a perfect job on it!!

The humour was perfect and i'm so glad i feel they've finally got Banner and the Hulk right.

I cant say anything more that hasnt been said already on this thread.

I loved the inter-avengers fights - I do feel that captain america was slightly underused though. one fight and then participation in the end? Also glad they reigned in Ironman's role too - I had a fear they'd do a wolverine in the x-men where he's the answer to everything and it all revolves around him etc. As much as i love wolverine i think thats a flaw in the x-men movies.

Earlier someone asked if spiderman would ever appear in the avengers storyline - and sadly he wont as the copyright is to Sony

I do believe however Daredevil and possibly the Fantastic four could return to Marvel (i think a daredevil reboot has been ordered). FF4 would return to marvel if no movie was made by 2015 *here's hoping*

a hulk movie with ruffalo is stated as 2015

another question asked was the friendly nature of stark and banner - the ending of the last hulk movie its stark that approached general ross about a unique problem he has iirc. so i would assume stark has done his research on banner

Finally if you want more of a back story - watch Marvel One shots - a few short clips with the Son of Cole etc.

One thing that gets me though - At the end why go to central park, i'd assume it was, to go back to asgard?? I assume it had something to do with that seal they were standing on?

Also after the battle on the helicarrier the hulk has his trousers on - when banner lands he doesnt - did they just fly off? *LOL* surely if they stayed on from banner to hulk - they'd stay on from hulk to banner?

Possibly the big explosion of the F35 in mid air. Fire+fabric= no fabric.

They have to do a incredible hulk movie with that guy, he's a flipping excellent hulk. Also wouldn't mind seeing a hawkeye film.

Off to see this tonight hopefully, but the cinema only has it in 3D. Is it worth me going elsewhere to find it in 2D? Don't really favour 3D but the cinema is slightly cheaper than elsewhere, and a little bit closer.

3D isn't worth it, find it somewhere in 2D.
