In that case.......awwwwwwwww yeeaahhhh.

Have yet to watch the other superhero movies as I am not a film buff, loved Iron Man 1 & 2 though. I'll watch them soon to get a bit of back story. The trailers look brilliant.

Thor is the one to watch for backstory here yes as his Brother Loki is teh main baddie (not a spoiler, it's in all the trailers!!) and you need to understand why this is.

I don't think you really need to watch the previous films, they are no integral and you won't have missed much, Thor was pretty wk, and Cap USA was so-so. They come across as rushed jobs just to set up The Avengers.

Having seen all the films introducing all the characters we finally got to see Avengers Assembled on Thurs. I was not disappointed. Didn't bother with 3D though. Good action adventure with some good humour thrown in. It's a bit slow to start with but all good. Good to see Joss Whedon at the helm of a film like this smile

yes he was very good, yet out of all the films his is my least favourite. I said to Hubby after seeing it that I really liked Hulk in this.

But I think I like this hulk better than the other two, I did like the Eric Banner hulk though....

I rember reading comics (in fact they may be inb my loft!!) but I remember spider man coming in to the avengers and having a massiv e scrap with Hulk(who had been possesed by an alien spore thing) Nick Fury was in it. Wonder if we will see spiderman come into it in the future.

Is there any talk of a new hulk film with that actor?

I saw this last night. My mate filled me in on the Thor/Loki story and captain America having not seen those and I loved the film. I saw it in 3d which was my first 3d film and the effects were pretty good. They managed to cram everyone's story in, all the avengers got good screen time. The hulk had the best moments for me.

I am not a massive comic film lover but I really enjoyed this. I would recommend it. 7.5/10.

Sooo happy with that film. I'm embarrassed to say I didn't get the character reference at the end though. Any hints without spoiling it for those who haven't seen it yet please?

It's Gollum. Big crossover coming up in the sequel.

I AM A GO............

Puny God

and the Thor punch

quite possibly the funniest things I have seen in a film in a long long time. Can Joss Wheedon do any wrong?

I need a bit more info on what you are referring to. Just asked hubby who usually seems to have a photographic memory re: films and he couldn't recall the scene either. Sorry

Had the audience laughing quite loudly, and the guy next to me chuckling for a while after.

Excellent film, and possibly the best of the Marvel films to date. I think the Hulk was the best adapted (probably as the others have had their films recently) and was more like the later cartoon/comic version.

I'm now looking forward to Avengers 2, IronMan3, Thor 2 and Captain America 2. Since taking control of their own work, the 'brand' keeps improving.

Saw last night, great Saturday night flick, action packed, great cast and loads of humour, gets 8.5/10 or me.

Didn't think 3D added anything though.
