hehe Oh the bridge is a bit old. Why go that slow. Shirly a nice steady pace rather than stay on the weak bridge for as long as possible?

Think he knew when his luck was running out. Loved the look his spotter gave when Alex started to pray.

Learned how to drive in that hell hole! I never realised how many times i came close to being dead when i was young living there. But looking back at it now....It was the coolest thing I ever did! I still drive there every year for a couple of weeks....I always touch the rosary hanging on the mirror and say a 2 line prayer!!!! You never know if you will come back or not!

edit: the hell hole wasnt this shimla road....hell hole was the indian roads in general

If you can handle that then you can handle any roads, anywhere in the world. Top driving!

Driving on those roads I think the spotter would have the longest life expectancy, standing outside
directing the driver. Fair play to them though it wouldn't be me.

Is this the same series that was on earlier this year or a new one?

They are screening the second season in the US. This time in S. America. Still, like Deadliest catch, IRT, the whole yeeha thing grates.

Thing is, no matter how many programmes and documentaries there are about the shocking driving in that part of the world, everybody on these things seems completely unprepared for it laugh

Alaskan fishing OS the most dangerous job in the world. However, that only seems to be because they seem very cowboy about the whole thing.
spoke with a norwegian fisherman about it and he said a lot of it was hammed up for the cameras.

Wouldn't make good TV.
How and why do the authorities allow this? Clearly the lives of their citizens are worth a dime a dozen.

Just another reason why the thought of international travel does not appeal to me.

If anyone hasn't seen the latest series in S. America, prepare for the most annoying American you could imagine.

Not even close to that much. Worst fatalities per mile of any road in the world IIRC. I heard somewhere (though could be wrong) that there is a stretch of road in India that's about 10 miles long but had over 10, 000 deaths in a year i.e. three times more than in the entire UK!!
