I've just watched this and nearly burst into tears. What an incredible bloke Pete is! If I had half the cojones he had to go through that!!

The restoration was the best I've seen and would be my perfect property. Brilliant just brilliant!

Just finished watching. Very emotional and one of the best renovations i've seen. Can't remember the last Grand Design that matched up to the windmill.

I watched this today, despite having dust in my eye for a lot of the program.

I think George Clarke is better than Kevin McCloud.

GD has had it's day.

Didn't realise this was an old series, I thought it was a new format. (It has the feel of a format that hasn't settled down yet, a bit like early Grand Designs.) At least the bits of the presenter in his study proved a bit of light relief from the sad story of the lady with cancer.

You can't argue with the finished product, it was stunning though. Series record set.

This is a new series of Restoration Man, think they filmed up to November 2011.

Umnmm interesting building!.. But there is a similar project near us, finished to a stunning standard (whole top area has a 360 glass observation room) - can't sell it for some reason.. not exactly silly money either.

Anyway, lets see how this project goes...

This one is having a similar glass observation room atop the roof, not full size though.

Kids creating havoc with the lifting gear - a pity they didn't finish with the crane the day before.

Hate the word Awesome but wow that's a place to live.
Coffee on the roof terrace every morning? Fantastic rain or shine.

Thought it a shame the windows could not be widened, but then I guess it's a protected building. Loved the hinges on the outer door to the roof. Interesting that it looked bigger from the inside than it did from the outside.

Now watching on +1

Shame it's got that newer tower with all those phone masts next to it.

I wish they would show us more of the build rather than give us a history lesson and repeat themselves after every advert break (I hadn't forgotten what the program was about part way through!!!).

I agree. I like the presenter but after a while there is only so many times you can listen through the same bit repeated again and again.

But then they do that with programmes like Location, location, location.

Found last nights episode focused a little too much on the history and plague and not enough of the restoration.

I like the programme but started to lose interest towards the end of this one last night.
