Disappointed

They were just messing around with the idea of moving, the reality not so much...

I'm not sure I would ever have the vision to look at that as it was and see potential as a home. Near me there is a control tower (below) which stood semi-derelict for donkey's years which to me would have been a more obvious candidate, but it was swallowed up in a massive development and now houses, in an act of almost criminal desecration, a bloody Costa.

Fair play to them for the vision and for going ahead with it. I liked them, they may have underestimated the task but they seemed like really nice decent people.

Shame they didn't finish. Loved the building, if I had the financial capability I'd be approaching them to buy as is, I reckon they'd sell.

I'd imagine there not being a thermal break on those windows too - frightening!
I was amazed they went for old style metal windows, sure they are double glazing but the windows wont be that good thermally! I wouldnt like to heat that building for sure but what a view!

Last weeks program had huge potential but turned out to be a damp squid squib . Hopefully this couple manage to complete this, but its a huge project.

As the lawyer says, it's a pretty well known bit of case law (Stokes v Cambridge) for anyone who works in property, so somebody should have worked it out beforehand rather than it being a great surprise.

Don't think it was too unreasonable of the council IMHO.
