It was originally aired at tea time back in 1969, I was 7, but then moved to a late night slot. Even watching it now, the plots are very serious and involve everything from extra-marital affairs to drugs.The one that had Straker trying to kill Commander Paul Foster in order to test his allegiance had me in tears when I was little. I was a sensitive soul.

Thanks for the link Croyde, I'll check out the vids at home (youtube is filtered in the office).
As for the comparison chart, I think it's brilliant and confirms why the Super Star Destroyer is my favourite.
I figured out why the new 'V' failed, I'm watching the old one again at the moment, the new one, they're completely missed the overall point of the original, the occupation by a hostile force. The don't actually know what the fk the new one's supposed to be about.
