Feel free to add names, it stops people looking like they are trying to outgeek everyone by picking something obscure.

I'm old so opt for the ridiculous simplicity of Jupiter 2 in "Lost In Space" which paid no heed to physics or anything like that but were ahead of the curve in that computers didn't take up half the ship:

Call this a car forum and 4 pages in and one has mentioned the alien craft from The Life of Brian ? I don't recall anything from Star Wars sounding like it had a DFV in the back powering it.

I have a vague recollection from my childhood of George Peppard in that one?

When I was googling to find that pic he did indeed pop up. I think he was a Space Cowboy or something? In fact...it was really Hannibal Smith in space IIRC.

Star Wars simply kicks ass with the depth of quality shipping

In no particular order:
Falcon
X-wing (my fav as a kid)
Star Destroyer
Super Star Destroyer
TIE fighter and bomber
B-wing
Y-wing
Ackbar's Cruisers

All cool as you like ( and all from the proper trilogy).
