Something has always puzzled me about Mad Max style post apocalyptic dramas:
Why do so many people decide to wear gimp suits?
If there is some global armageddon I would not expect the surviving population to instinctively think that what they need is a rubber gimp mask.
It was Wez's arseless chaps that always made me wonder. Must've had buttocks like leather. Why do so many people decide to wear gimp suits?

Or why do all the normal townsfolk in every post apocalyptic film don brown rags and generally dress like medieval peasants? I'm sure there would still be plenty of jeans and bright t-shirts lying around
Or a Manchester United footy top , no matter where in the world you are !I think in this case that it is a case of artistic license for the sake of telling the story. The film maker wants to show that society has devolved and that it is very obviously post-apocalyptic. If everyone was wearing slightly tatty normal clothes then it wouldn't really convey that.
Or, to put it more succinctly, "because it's a film"

Does nearly everybody being killed by zombies count as post-apocalyptic?Or, to put it more succinctly, "because it's a film"

Isn't this set before MM2, hence why Max is younger?
Mel was 30 when he did Max 3Tom hardy was 34 when he shot this one.
Anyway, was just a thought
I personally cannot wait to see it. That pick up with the huge quad bug catcher looks immense and, as an engineering and petrolhead, is on my to-build list!
