From the twitter Q and A posted in a previous page it did mention that he took some infuence from network iirc so i could kind of see the ending coming, from Charlies previous work it would not have ended it with the sickly sweet the male lead gets the girl ending that most viewers expect from TV by now

I have to admit putting it on just after the x-factor had finished was genius scheduling
