As a matter of interest, what exactly do you make a point of watching on iplayer?

Would you consider it appropriate for BBC output to be pay to view on line?
Which got me curious as to other opinions. Mine is that it should be free, but only once you've logged on as a licence payer. This includes from abroad, and people should be absolutely free to buy a licence from the US or France, or any country.

Granted, there will be some issues about other content (which is why you can't get some items on IPlayer), this seems like a workable compromise.

Thoughts?

I am sick to death of paying more taxes, I would rather have the the choice to pay than being forced to.

They will never abolish the licence fee, so they might as well keep the iplayer free. They could quite easily cut BBC3 and especially BBC4 (what do they even show on that channel?) to save some money if they needed it.

Definately, there should be no licence fee. TV should be funded by the consumer, either directly or indirectly, not as a Tax. Its not as if most of the content is any different from ITV. Prime time saturday night is a celeb dance show ffs......why do I have to pay for that crap????

Oh I dunno, Frozen Planet (and the rest of them), Brian Cox, radio, other enterprises that the BBC take part in and produce in coop with others on their lonesome vs x factor and corrie.

I don't want to lose good TV and radio because of a political philosophy.
