G.I. Joe: Retaliation
Discussion
The first trailer has been released for G.I. Joe: Retaliation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSX2oxLdcWA
I finally got around to watching the first movie when it was on TV a few weeks ago and it wasn't bad - mindless fun - so if this follows the same formula it'll be worth a watch.
UK release date is 22 June 2012.

The G.I. Joe team faces off against Zartan, his accomplices, and the world leaders he has under his influence.
I took my son to see this and it turned out to be one of those rare films that was much better than expected (Like Transformers, but unlike Transformers 2 and X-Men whatever : Wolverine).
Given my Transformer's experience I'm a bit lairy about this, but I'll give it a go.
The new MI film, however, looks great!

Looking forward to this, love the fact the Rock is in it.
The Rock is in it? As whom?Never saw the original. I collected the Action Force comics when I was younger (and still had them till they were nicked), the British mags were the best, but the US version had some good stories with the COBRA island and Serpentor.

Roadblock apparently not sure who that isNever saw the original. I collected the Action Force comics when I was younger (and still had them till they were nicked), the British mags were the best, but the US version had some good stories with the COBRA island and Serpentor.
I loved the first film, when everyone else seemingly panned it. It didn’t take itself at all seriously, and I see it as a big budget fun and (almost) slapstick bit of sci-fi hokum – and enjoyed it for what it is – the excellent special effects was a bonus. I enjoyed it a lot more than the ‘rinse and repeat scenarios’ of the Marvel films (and why the hell is Spiderman getting another reboot - Hollywood, you are a joke!), of which the only one I enjoyed was Iron Man – which again didn’t seem to take itself too seriously.

If there was a "Best Actor - Former Wrestler" Oscar, he'd win it.

I think it's because Columbia doesn't wish to lose the rights to Marvel. Marvindodgers said:

I remember BAF. I wanted the Roboskull as a toy. I did have the SAS figures. and some space ones. In one continuity Baron Ironblood became COBRA Commander. Its amazing to think how many story arcs/crossovers I could keep in my head when I was 12. I have trouble remembering my own name now.
apologies for duplicate thread - shows how well the P/H search facility is working as usual!

Same here. I have an almost infinite capacity for the history of universes within comics and telly.
Probably quite handy in the world of comics as they seem to have an infinite number of alternate timelines\history. People moan about too many reboots in Hollywood these days. If people read the comics a lot of these franchises are based on they'd realise it's par for the course, you seem to get one about once a week!Superbowl spot released: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_g4sxgKVPLU
