Can I urge you all to vote Cavendish tonight. At least his sport has wheels.

Under no circumstances are you to vote for that Murray chap or a golfer (because that isn't a sport its a pastime)

Riding a bike is a past time, like walking

Golf actually requires some skill

Skill maybe but not athletecism

What Cav achieved is beyond the superhuman

What John Daly "achieved" is beyond explaination

Most of them dont have a public persona to judge, if they dont do public events, dont give public interviews how do they have a public personality?

Not that bothered who wins, I'm just watching it in the hope that they'll do a small piece on Dan Wheldon at some point.

Vote Cricket, we've had a jolly good year.

World No.1 Test team.

World No. not bad at One Day team.

World No.1 20/20 team.

The Football and Rugby lot have been very disappointing.

This.

Also in terms of pure athletic prowess, he knocks every single one of the other contenders into a hat. Phenomenal achievement, probably never to be repeated ever again.

Good Idea, I think he was going to turn up, then saw the odds were against him winning, so funnily enough he is now 'injured'

surprised his mommy isn't there though;)

I'd almost agree, but Luke Donald wins on points. No 1 golfer in the world for whole second half of 2011, and the only player in history to win the money lists on both the US and European tours. A historic sporting achievement few thought possible. If he did the equivalent of this in football, tennis or F1 they wouldn't even bother with a contest. Cav definitely my number 2 though!

My vote goes to Cav, or Amir Khan.

People talking about cricket, lest we forget the English team having there arse handed to them in India.

Their simply the best team amoungst a bunch of dreadful ones.
