Not sure that I agree with you guys about it going downhill recently. I thoroughly enjoyed the UK episode on Monday night.
The taxi driver's tailing strategy wasn't too clever but Carrie always gets people to do stupid things. Interesting developments with the big wealthy guy (guy with the mansion) and Carrie's now-ex-bf. Will be interesting to see how that develops... is the big wealthy guy more involved in the shenanigans than we've been led to believe?

I knew I'd seen the actor playing Dar in something else, only one of my favorite films - Scarface
Seem to remember he left that film dangling from a rope around his neck out of a helicopter, lets hope the same doesn't happen in Homeland..........
He was also brilliant in Amadeus. Well worth seeing if you haven't.Seem to remember he left that film dangling from a rope around his neck out of a helicopter, lets hope the same doesn't happen in Homeland..........

I find it quite amusing that he was quite the back stabbing schemer in Amadeus as well? He seems to enjoy playing that sort of role..... Or is just very good at it anyway! And after 30yrs working together, do we really think that he and Saul have really gone to war against each other?
Just caught up with this weeks UK episode.
I've really enjoyed this series but that phone call Carrie made to Alison and didn't even twig on the voice has annoyed me.
I'm not suggesting it was obvious first time round but surely as a professional in the spy game where you get people stabbing you in the back all the time she might be a little suspicious!
I mean she's almost been assasinated, gets assasins phone, calls the last number and an American womans voice answers. You later realise that your name was put in the drop box so there is obviously a leak in the US end of things...how many possibilities could it be?!

I also don't understand why when Carrie met up with Saul she didn't mention it to him.

I got the impression that she did know that the voice was Alison's and didn't mention it to Saul because she wasn't yet sure how all the pieces fitted together.I also don't understand why when Carrie met up with Saul she didn't mention it to him.
The call in this episode hinted that she didn't recognise the voice but I think there's still room for it to be a sly Carrie manoeuvre where she's just setting a trap.
Good episode last night. Volvo estate was a great station car I thought.
Allison's excuse is a good one but surely it won't hold up to scrutiny. Some in depth questioning of her and the Russian dude should soon highlight the inconsistencies. They didn't have enough time to put together a watertight story.
Meanwhile, Quinn is foaming at the mouth... surely he'll survive? Maybe not though - I'm sure he's used more than his nine lives by now.
