I noticed they referenced it in the last episode.
Pretty sure it was referring to the Charles Hebdo attack in Paris
You can't see Alison's face when she mentions Paris, so I think they are referring to the most recent Paris events (it was a big attack after all), but it was added dialogue recently, not when they filmed the scene. IYSWIM

They're expecting a Berlin attack to be big, not a smaller attack like Charlie Hebdo. That's my thoughts anyway.

I've not watched the whole series but the Charlie Hebdo attack was my first thought. Mrs K said it was to do with an earlier episode in this series.

There was mention of an attack in Paris in an earlier episode, I presumed it was more of a fictional 'generalised' attack than a real, specific one.

A much more satisfying conclusion than last series, that's for sure.

Wonder where they'll go from here?

Another good episode, looks like Saul is possibly onto Alison, judging by his line of questioning. Cant wait for next week

I think this is a great series so far. I do feel sorry for Saul though, he's looking really tired with all. He should go and open a florist or something.

Well it really took its time getting into gear and for everyone to wake up and stop acting like clueless buffoons, but the last 3-4 eps have been fantastic and as good as anything they have done. And they've not shot their load in the penultimate ep like last season which is nice. The last one is going to be a corker. Shame old Quinn is out of it though. Agree that Saul really needs to claim his pension pot and go and take up painting watercolours after this one.

For most of the series, I assumed Saul knew pretty much what was going on, and boffing Alison was all part of his plan to find out what the Russkies were doing. The last few episodes it's become clear that he hasn't got a clue about much any more - in just this episode, leaving the chap alone in a third-floor room with an unlocked window, and leaving Alison alone in a hospital room were both rookie errors. Time to change his last name to Goodman & open up a law practice? smile

Excellent episode last night, full of suspense. I can't wait for the season finale next week.

I would have thought they would have taken Alison out of service until the investigation against her was concluded, not 'we dont have time for this now so she can do whatever with someone keeping an eye on her instead'.

Plus, why would her chaperone give her his gun and why wouldnt someone be on her door in the hospital just in case?

I am really enjoying this series, in fact I think it may be my second favourite after the orignial series.

However I think some of it is very far fetched compared to previous series. The whole Allison story and how they are letting her back on the job whilst under investigation, Saul not being nearly as clever as previous etc.

Predictions for the ending?

I'd like to have a big twist, gas release, Carrie killed off.. Quinn to recover and be the main character in S6

I think Carrie saving the day, Allison going to prison, Carrie and Saul back in business etc is more likely.

Agree. Its odd how the once all seeing Saul has, suddenly in this series, become an ageing, slow witted buffoon who let his dick cloud his judgement.

Not that it matters, but wouldn't Alison's point-blank wound be apparent to the forensic team?

I'm thinking Carrie is now paid by the 'lip quiver' given the usage it's had in the last two episodes (but it's still better than having to watch Brodie's brat daughter).

Yes, as would the residue on her hand from firing it.

GSR around the wound. I used to watch CSI. yes

The silliest thing I thought on the most recent episode was the secret message via Lightning stick stuck to the parking ticket of Alison's car. Then discussing all the details with the strange woman very loudly in the toilets afterwards.
