This series has been a big improvement on recent ones. Much more like a series of 24, which can only be a good thing

I'm pretty sure Carrie will save the day and one or two other characters will be retired. Looking forward to the next series already if they can keep up the quality of this one (not withstanding the odd plot hole here and there)...

Watched the last episode of the series on Sunday. Excellent series, back to its best IMO and I'm sure they'll be another.

Been my favourite series of Homeland, pretty disappointed by the final episode. Carrie to head back to the CIA, I bet.

Did they change the writers for this series? Loads of parts didn't seem right considering the characters, like Saul machine gunning that 7 series rather than taking them into custody. Just doesn't ring true.

All that buildup then poof! The terrorist threat is over before the titles have barely finished. What happened to all the other terrorists? Then Carrie just goes for a kip. And Saul didn't want Alison alive?? He gave the Russian a nice ski lodge in Wyoming just so he could go and shoot her.? Baffling. Very poor end to it all

If you like anticlimax then this episode was for you.

• Have Carrie be seen to be the on that stops the gas attack within the first few minutes of the show by having the 'good' baddie take the lead. Check.
• Saul tidies up the loose ends. Check.
• Quins status is unknown meaning he will carry over to the next season. Check.
• The Russian guy in their pocket probably to reappear next season. Check.

All it needed was the ghost of Brodie (is he dead, I forget) and/or his irritating family to pop up to seal the deal.

Agreed tho, it was a bit of a damp squib after the series buildup.
