Recently discovered this series, and now at series 4...

..... did Carrie really just jump in the sack with the young Pakistani guy to get info out of him? FFA, the series has just fallen into the toilet now! She has a kid she doesn't want, by a guy who is dead, so she leaps in the sack with a Pakistani reenager to 'turn' him???

Don't tell me the next stage, I just needed to vent at the stupidity. If I can keep watching it, that is....

Ep 8:

"We fked each other because we were lonely – that doesn’t make us friends.” fking hell Quinn. As if punching her in the belly wasn’t enough. And then to top it off you got her killed frown.

TBH, I thought they were previously married?

Memory not so good these days!

(PS this spoiler stuff is tough to keep up with! We ought to have a UK viewers thread and a separate US viewers thread!)
Agree with this.

Was going to suggest it also.

So do we think that Quinn is just saying that Dar had a thing for young recruits, as opposed to Dar having got up to no good with Quinn specifically?
Dar likes young boys from the sound of it

We've avoided this so far on the reviews of the first couple of episodes.

How's it progressing?

Really good I think. Layered.

I can't decide whether Dar is a) a patriot doing his best even if that means some "collateral damage", or b) an evil twisted man who should meet a grisly end. Unlike Saul and Carrie, who are completely solid ("kosher" in Saul's case).

Thoughts?

He's been doing shady stuff for a long time so I don't think it's likely he's turned against the US. He just does what he think's is necessary?

Nice (bad) move to nullify Carrie too.

Not half. When she finds out she is going to rip him a new one, and several spares.

The Berlin season was the first of this series I've watched. I'm on the ep when the shady NGO starts flexing its muscles, van guy kills that other guy, what's his name carted out of that place on a stretcher. It's pretty full-on.

Highly trained killer person wonders off after a few minutes rather than waiting to see if a body floats back up.

The same highly trained killer person earlier puts himself in a position where he would have been killed had the gun been loaded.

Ep 9.

Finally Dar Adal stops getting his own way. Quinn is also looking a lot better - it's amazing what CIA esq field work can do for the rehabilitation of stroke victims smile

I thought it was brain damage as a result of Carrie bringing him out of his coma?

Well he is sorta fked. Good ep that, really felt for Astrid, especially the gutshot. Poor old Peter.

One thing I didn't like was the shock jock..he's meant to be about truth but is blatantly lying...why? It doesn't ring true, made it a bit st for me

Isn't that the point? He's about his own view of the truth, and supports it however he sees fit.

I thought they were lining Quinn up as the fall guy for taking a pop at the new President (flashback to Brody) but this week (UK) proved me wrong pretty quick!

I don't think so. Dar and his ilk are all for propagating how they do their actions, but the shock jocks I think the character is based upon may have self-determined bias, and project their bullst, but to actually pervert evidence into an action that is the direct polar opposite of what was going on, because of a tenuous link to a third party, the next Prez seems illogical and not in fitting with that character, otherwise he'd just another Dar, so many 1d evil people, so boring.
