I feel like its run its course. If be happy if it ended with series 3. It wouldn't have been the most horrendous ending ever. Everyone moved on after Iran - the end.

I can't see the point without Brody, he was the whole point of the show and the episodes without him were a bit dull

Very disappointed with this series, the previous two were always fast paced and action packed, this series was slow and I found it hard to know what was going on at various points.

I don't think I'll be watching series 4.

What happened to the high-level mole from series one?

I enjoyed some of it but as usual they've flogged the plot to death, as per Lost, Prison Break etc etc.

Great role for Damian Lewis though, good for his CV. Less so for Claire Daines though as she's a bit limited in the expression department, and she needs to take some responsibility as producer for some of the crap storylines re the daughter...

Really disappointed Brody is out of it. Will still watch the next series though.

How long are we going to have to wait?

And another thing that's bugging me is the fact that the new head of the CIA fed Brody to the wolves so why is Carrie still working for him and not appearing angry about what happened?

Because she is ultra ambitious? You could have unearthed a potential plot line there though.

Enforced long term maternity leave then shoved into an irrelevant role at HQ was what I thought was more suitable.

I've watched all 36 episodes this week.

S1 - good first 2 episodes - average middle and the finale had some good moments.

S2 and S3 - utter ste - made up as they went along with 1 or 2 good moments. The first aprt of S3 was soem of the worse TV episodes I have seen when you take into account the context of the show.

Every female bar Carries sister was a knob and the only male that wasn't a knob at some point was Chris (Brodys son) and Brody. Even Saul was annoying towards the end.

I think the show was much like Prison Break - good first series and then strung out for the remaining series.

I never thought I would have to endure another show that was such a blag liek LOST was but it hit home in S3 Episode 8 where the ending even used LOST like music (when Saul found Brody in Caracas).

Anyway as for season 4 - I imagien it will quickly nosedive i nratings seeing as they have killed off the 1 character most people would actually want to watch it for.

Killed off the one person you say - well from an English point of view maybe, the Yanks would prefer him gone.

Just joined the finished gang. Pretty disappointed with this overall though in the context of it all the ending was where I saw it headed a few episodes back.

I've taken a few messages (cliches) from the series overall i.e. not all Muslims want to bomb the west, the good American people and their evil CIA mob aren't necessarily on the same page etc. but truly it hasn't immersed me enough at all.

The only reason I watched this show initially was for Lewis who was outstanding in Life and to his credit he has excelled with a decent enough Danes next to him. The rest are extremely meh though I quite enjoyed Saul's role in the story this season.

Worryingly this is a show shown on a Premium channel in America where an extra subscription is required and I really think with the likes of Breaking Bad, which was aired on an ordinary network channel, the quality fell way short.

You reckon? Personally I thought he was the main driving character (whether he is English is irrelevant to me personally). Carrie was important but without a Brody I feel Carrie is not anywhere near as important. You telling me that the vast majority of peopel watching S3 were not waiting for Brody to come back?

I actually thought it was extremley heavy on the old 'Muslims are bad' angle. They were not even that positive towards Farah who was one of 'them'. Made the CIA look poor as well!

Indeed and I always do that! AMC is on cable (or satellite). The point remains I hope though that an additional subscription is required on top of the standard cable or satellite subscription to receive this show via a premium channel.

Main difference I have noticed is that a lot of the cable shows like Sopranos, Wire, BB, Homeland tend to be 12 episodes a seasons whereas a lot of the free programs tend to be much longer liek 24 episodes a season - maybe that accounts for quality differences.

BTW If Brodie was turned in the 8 years - they had shaved his hair off when he turned (unsure how long into the 8 years it was but I imagine it wasn't long) but when he was discovered he had years of growth - so did he spend years after turning waiting to be planted? Also it is unclear whether they specifically released him to kill the VP at that specific event or whether they put him out and waited for an oppotunity - we didn't see him get the info - but of ocurse it would have been very long winded to know he would be at that event when they released him.

Breaking bad was aired by AMC which is a cable (subscription) channel. It is not a free to air channel or a network channel.

I thought this, I can't think of one muslim protrayed in a good way, and the Iran and Venzuela connection felt a bit propaganda-esque to me.

The Muslim CIA woman seems to be shown in a good light, plus her dad/uncle whatever.
