The Muslim CIA woman seems to be shown in a good light, plus her dad/uncle whatever.
Apart from being made to look like a fool with a headache because she apparently had a conscience!

I thought this, I can't think of one muslim protrayed in a good way, and the Iran and Venzuela connection felt a bit propaganda-esque to me.
Dunno I felt that any time Muslims were portrayed 'badly' that it was via an obvious cliche designed to make the viewer say 'Ah I see right through that stereotype for I know otherwise...'. Agree on Venezuela though it looked friggin awful.

I suppose the same could be said for the bungling and ruthless sides to the CIA but I actually went along with that biggrin

I thought Homeland was good, but then I started watching the latest 24 and realised just how good that is in comparison...

Not many shows can recover when they have lost the original premsie of the show that got everyone watching.

What can series 4 even be other than a generic American 'spy/were amazing' show with no amazing premise?

The whole point of the previous 3 series was Brody and Carrie!

Not even slightly interested.

Ditto, I only watched the end of series 3 to get it off the sky box - found very slow and dull.

I will have no interest in the fourth series.

I struggle with S2 and I've only managed a couple of episodes of S3 (Walking Dead, Breaking bad and GoT box sets were more interesting).
I'll not bother with S4.

I think now he's gone, it should open up the story a little, because they couldn't keep focussing on him any longer.

I'll stick with it for now.

I have an extremely high boredom threshold.

biggrin

Edit: spoiler added just in case

It premieres Oct' 5th in the US but I generally catch it online so I'm not sure how far behind it airs in the UK - a week or so behind perhaps?

You can't help thinking, though, that there was an Episodes like call to Damian Lewis.

"Hi Damian, no, no don't hang up.

What pun?

Here's the thing, turns out that scene with you dying? It was just an Iranian David Blaine show and Brody's just fine....

Helloooo.... Damian?????"
