For fks sake. What a massive pile of anticlimactic st.
From the bomb, to Carrie going to bed and banging her guy then we get break up angst, then being told the terrorists were traced and shot in a shootout, to Saul shooting up the E38, to charity guy professing his love, to Quinn doing the same in a lame voice-over sequence, arrrggghhhhh!
What a load of complete and utter bks.

What a stty end to a great series
The whole plot fizzles out into nothing. Alison never has to face the music. Saul is still an idiot. Carrie rufeses the CIA and then the creepy German guy. Then she heads off and finishes off Quinn, who really served zero purpose in the entire series. What was the point him in him surviving the gas test?!

I didn't understand why he was asking her to get involved with him - just a couple of episodes ago, wasn't he saying to Carries partner (I forget his name) that Carrie is mentally unstable and "we need to get shot of her" or something along those lines?daddy cool said:

I picked that up as you get rid of her, she is mental, whilst meaning I want her so need you to dump her please.Good series overall however it was a disappointing ending. Tbh pretty much every season ending has been an anti-climax (with the exception of when the CIA headquarters was blown up).
Would like to see more of Dar Adal in the next season and the old Saul back. Do not care much for Carrie however I doubt the show will drop her. As for Quinn - you just know that Carrie isn't going to go through with it and then he's going to make some kind of Jack Bauer esq recovery and be back in the field in no time.

I've seen the opener to the next series.
Quinn is lathering himself up in the shower. Carrie wakes up and goes over to him - shocked. He asks her if she has been having a bad dream.
Given the bizarro events in the last episode a Dallas-style dream sequence would not surprise me.Quinn is lathering himself up in the shower. Carrie wakes up and goes over to him - shocked. He asks her if she has been having a bad dream.

Do you think she's finished him off? I thought it was fairly clear she was about to but stopped. The whole plot fizzles out into nothing. Alison never has to face the music. Saul is still an idiot. Final episode did seem quite disjointed. Was surprised how Alison met her end, but then would she have been allowed to continue working if she was a suspected spy
New series starting next week looks like it might be quite good

It is getting to the point where it is not worth watching series like Homeland because every damn one of them ends with enough plot holes left open to drive a bus through to get to the next series. Worst was that Anna Friel bks Odyssey which was left wide open and then dropped by the network so there would be no second series.
Even the new Star Wars film follows the same format. Just seems very cynical imho.
