One thing really is bothering me about the Saul thing.

Being that he's the ex Director of the CIA would they really let him roam around the airport without protection? I mean if that were the case he'd be a prime target for abduction all the time wouldn't he?

Another corker tonight (in the UK) although very last scene, seems unbelievable. Information has a price.

How's this playing in Pakistan and with Pakistani populations here (and yes I realise it's probably not being shown in Pakistan)?
Is there anything provocative and discriminatory about this, or is it just accepted that Pakistan is in bed with the Taliban?

Absolutely loved last night's (episode 8 in the UK) - outstanding stuff. I was, quite literally, on the edge of my seat.

For a moment, when Carrie was directing Saul via the overhead feed and he came out of the building to be surrounded by Taliban... I thought she'd done it deliberately to call in a strike and take out a lot of tangos at the same time. Must admit to some puzzlement as to why she gave him directions which led out onto a street totally full of Taliban all tagged in red from the feed... unless I'm missing something.

She was winging it.

Just searched a couple of reviews... and one pointed out it was solely to save his life, as he was going to blow his own head off. Makes sense.

Yep.. that's what I meant. She had no real route out of there but was winging it to save his life.

Interesting Lockhart referred to Daniel Pearl and James Foley in last night's episode - wonder if the families gave permission?

A mate and I were discussing that very thing at work. I'm pretty certain ex-presidents and ex-prime ministers carry on getting security detail after they step down from office, so we were debating that we thought that may also be the same for ex-heads of the major security services, FBI, CIA, MI6 etc considering how valuable they'd be for terrorists.

Pretty sure they do. You'd think he'd have at least one guy with him anyway on the flight!
