Best advert of all time in my opinion is the Specsaver's one where the boyfriend says to the daugher "Your Mum's nice". An absolute classic but I can't find it anywhere.

I think Cadbury's did one where the father fancied the son's daughter, or vice versa.

Poor old Sergei ~ ~ Brilliant stuff and superb accents. Most TV adverts I simply do not see. Eyes almost glaze over and I turn to the laptop. When the less interesting ones come on my focus goes into auto-ignore.

Thing is, that pier would actually make more sense than some of those "Christmas wonderland" theme parks that appeared, usually run by Greengrass types in a couple of muddy fields with some bored donkeys.

Also quite like the new ad for deodorant where the guys chomps a lump of Wasabi. For once on a tv ad the guy isn't a feckless bearded soppy emasculated new man who somehow has a well paid job yet appears to have the intellect of a spoon. Our dude is almost a glorious '70's throwback: clean cut man's man who can fend off danger with the shrug of an eyebrow.



That said, in that scenario I'd demand the waitress get her jugs out. I'd need a lot of water

Halfords ad with the different generations coasting downhill on bikes to "Raindrops keep falling on my head" Brilliant. But then I like the old songs....

I'm watching the Test Match, and there was a break ad just now which made me smile - it was for sponsor Hardys, and depicted Stuart Broad in full England kit in a vineyard, shaking hands with the vine-grower. The Aussie shakes hands to be respectful, and when Broad turns his face back to the camera with a huge smile on his face, the vintner slowly wipes the palm of his hand down his work shirt with a look of painful disgust.

Kudos to all concerned.
