Rihanna. Not the only reason though, for avoiding watching 'Battleship'.

Coolio. Actually I think the last film that got me into it 'like I was there' was 'Event Horizon' - Lawrence Fishbourne aboard a spooky, abandoned space ship. I felt the terror! Seen that one?
Glad you like Hardy - he's pretty cool, in terms of 'slightly thuggish' British actors, he makes Statham look like the one-dimensional cut-out that he really is.
Surprised Hardy hasn't been in more big movies recently. Have you seen the mini TV-series with him in, 'The Take?' Mate, he is one scary Mofo in this - he plays a totally deranged, unhinged mental case. His acting is grade 1 for me in that series.
Just checked for you - it's available on Sky's Go Player here
Yeah its a good thriller/scary one. The last good sci-fi one I can recall.

Hardy is ace, and he has been around for a long time too. I watched Band of Brothers for the first time in Jan, Hardy pops up in it for a tiny scene as a fresh faced solider, an early walk-on role for him. He is a bit of a chameleon, on the same level as Christian Bale/Johnny Depp imo.
He should own the next ten years. He might be picky now or busy doing theatre or anything. I wanted to watch the Take but never got roubf to it, ta!;)

Yeah, I did agree that Wahlberg tends to act himself in each role a bit. But strangely, I find him really watchable - no idea why. I watched 'Shooter' last weekend, a crappy little predictable and typical 'American' film - with a boring ending. Despite all this, I STILL enjoyed watching Marky Mark.
Weird innit. Maybe I'm really a little bit gay, who knows? biggrin
I think Shooter is the only Mark Wahlberg film I have seen. I really liked it.
He is fantastic IMO in the comedy 'The other Guys'

Love that film.

Danny Dyer - i dont know why but he annoys the hell out of me and refuse to watch a film with him in.

i think its the whole false cockney geezer attitude, like hes some kind of gangster that could kill you with just his fists yet probably would struggle against a 14 year old boy

i just want to punch him in the face
Hahaha totally agree!

Manhatten:
Manhattan. In a lifetime of cinemagoing, that is the only film where I have actually got up and walked out.

For me, Woody Allen is probably the single most overrated actor/director in the history of film.

YMMV. Other opinions are available.
Admit i have not seen Manhatten - , but Allen's films like Take the Money and Run, Bananas, Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex,Love and Death are brilliant - and that's from someone who finds most top directors wildly overrated

Nicole Kidman, her facejobbed trout ruins any movie for me, she looks like a beaver these days.
I will swap channel the second I see her on the screen. Anyone else?
Between her stuck-up-ness and Tom Cruises - well - gayness - , I wonder if they ever had sex hehe

Thats kind of the point though. He was pretending to be an ex-SAS guy, his carature "acting" the part of an ex SAS guy was poor which is why he got found out.

Adding to the Cockney geeza list...Ray Winstone. 2 decent films in his career, but jack all since 1979. fk awful Bet365 ads dont help either.

Avoid pretty much every Tom Cruise film too, never see Top Gun as I cant stand the dwarf.

Any pop/music star "turned" actor...Bowie/Sting/Fiddy Cent/Ice T/Ice Cube etc etc

To be honest the list goes on and on and on....biggrin
