Make Bradford British...

A shocking new television show that brings together people from various ethnicities from one of Britain's most racially divided cities is set to cause controversy when it is aired on Channel 4 next week.
Make Bradford British is billed as a social experiment in which eight housemates from differing backgrounds will live together to see if they will co-operate and learn something about tolerance - or clash and stay segregated.
The 'housemates', all from Bradford, include a retired police officer who used to joke about 'p*ki-bashing', a taxi driver called Mohammed who thinks all the British do is drink, and a white sheet metal worker called Damon who would 'avoid the Asian' areas in a city widely regarded as one of the most segregated in Britain.
Eight people who failed the test were invited to live together in a microcosm of multicultural society.
All of them have different perspectives on each other: Metal worker Damon described mosques as 'terror camps', middle-class magistrate Maura says 'our Bradford friends' are perhaps 'not quite one of us', and pub-owner Audrey says: 'If you're English, then dress like you're English'.
should be a good crash tv style program. Make Bradford British is billed as a social experiment in which eight housemates from differing backgrounds will live together to see if they will co-operate and learn something about tolerance - or clash and stay segregated.

I can see the slant and outcome before it's even started.
You cynic. I for one have no idea whether or not a bunch of people who before the show starts would profess to disliking each other and racist comments and possibly actions, will by the end of the show be good friends and have some respect for each other....

I hope you're not suggesting that the people will be carefully chosen, the outcome pre-planned, the events carefully engineered and the whole thing heavily edited to conform to a certain agenda. Surely not.Big Brother proves that you can take 15 very different people, nutters incldued, and quite often when you mix them together you find that most people are, behind it all, not that different and are fairly accepting of differences.
Usually from the start of the show to the end views people are more accepting of people - both from the housemates POV and the viewers POV. This has been the case in every BB shown in the UK.
This show might be slightly different in that its more 'real' but I doubt it. If there are any major issues they are likely to be held back anyway I would have though.

You don't think it's possible to take a bunch of people from different backgrounds and expect them to get on?durbster said:

I don't know if I can watch it, already I feel like Bruce Banner sitting on an ant hill.
200, just keep it below 200!Hmmm, so of the eight people only one (maybe two) is/are white? And what was that heathen script above the titles?!

Are you a horse?
So what has been proved so far is that Bradford is thick?
edit
OK, have to say that I really don't like that spider scrawl above the shows title. One of my bugbears is that signs and interaction in the UK should be in English (or welsh for those that feel the need to revert).
