The Fall - visually one of the best films I've ever seen. The story is pretty damn good too. It's dreamlike in that it's a stuntman telling stories to a 6 yr old and it's her imagination bringing it to life.
One of my favourite films, absolutely beautiful cinematography.

Another one that springs to mind as a weird film is Until the End of the World.

A film I've seen three times now and it's just stunning each time. I have the very long version on DVD, but I don't really think anything is really missed if you see the 'short' version.

The film is a little odd but the story it's based on meant it could have been alot different.

Also, last year in marienbad was definately like a dream. Also Fellinis 8 1/2

Why that prompted my brain to remember "The Human Millipede" I'm not sure..... Not one I've seen, but the synopsis is weird enough I think it counts.

i watched eraserhead

BORINGGGG, lol, i guess i can see the ART in it but my god, 40 minutes to find out he had a baby with a girl jesus that movie is painfully slow and did not in any way scare me.

I guess i want something with a storyline as that film was just stupid lol

I remember watching Eraser head when it was first released on video an age ago. Even though I was an impressionable young teenager, I thought at the time that it was nothing more than pretentious art-house tosh – trying to me more ‘clever’ than it actually was. Hated it then, and still hate it now….

The Draughtsman's Contract.

Significant boobage aside, a most perplexing film.

+1 for Requiem for a dream

Also Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, watched on my own, during the day (when I had days off to myself), I had to check to see which hallucinogens I had imbibed.

Turned out it was none, but the film made me feel as though I had.

Caught that fairly recently on some obscure channel for the first time since seeing at the cinema back in the day.

I was slightly disturbed at how dated it seems now.

Many good ones mentioned already, but one that hasn't been is The Fountain.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0414993/

Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz

"Spanning over one thousand years, and three parallel stories, The Fountain is a story of love, death, spirituality, and the fragility of our existence in this world."
