Another one I've just remembered - 'The Reckoning' starring Nichol Williamson, shot in '69 a whole year before 'Get Carter' but has similarities to it and featuring a mighty Jag 420G as the main car, the whole film is on youtube...

Point of order guvnor... Up The Junction was shot in '67! Top film though with a great soundtrack from Manfred Mann and wonderful views of old London. Oh and Suzi Kendall looks rather ace too....
Released in 1968 thoughbiggrin

Great acting from Maureen Lipman, Hyda Baker and Alfie Bass too. The white "E" type at the end was rather tasty too..lick

Great soundtrack as you say....I have it on vinyl from the late sixties.

Sorry for the thread ressurection but I've recently discovered the Tallking Pictures movie channel and it's a goldmine of forgotten British flicks from all eras. My planner is choc a block with late '60s and early '70s flicks.

Even if the film's are rubbish (Joan Collins alternative reality one), it's worth fast forwarding for the outside views/cars.

Well it's Sky channel 343 but not sure about internet viewing, that's not really my thing.

Found myself riveted to this the other night:

I don't have Sky but I do have Virgin Media, Freeview and the Internet. I also have a smart tv so could watch it through an internet connection - if such a thing is provided.

I can get it on my Frreview HD TV but not on a standard digital one. Some channels, although SD, are viewed via the HD network I believe.

Yep - I've retuned all the TVs in the house that use Freeview and Chanel 81 does not scan in. It looks like it's not available in our area.

they need to put it online so that ANY smart TV can access it.

Probably been mentioned before but:-

Blow up (1966)

Up the Junction (1965 and 1968)

The Blow up scene with Jimmy Page, Keith Relph and Jeff Beck.

(Note Janet Street Porter on the dance floor).

Thanks to the thread being resurrected I've just remembered three more 'London films' which are worth a punt - 'Secret Ceremony' from 1968 starring Liz Taylor, Robert Mitchum and Mia Farrow, a very odd film with a strong supernatural / psychological theme which was largely shot around Hampstead, Cricklewood and Kilburn, 'The Killing Of Sister George' starring Beryl Reid and Susannah York shot around North London in 1968 / 69 and 'Zee & Co' starring Liz Taylor, Susannah York and Michael Caine, shot in 1971 around the time that 'Get Carter' was on release. Most of this one takes place indoors but there are some good exterior views of old London. Caine is almost in parody mode but Taylor and York literally shine every time the camera is on them.

Someone mentioned the 1968 series 'Strange Report' a while back, although only sixteen episodes were made it's a very good series, beautifully shot with some great Hampstead and other N.London locations...

I think the Hospital is out in the sticks, somewhere near Radlett...
