The other night on bbc 2.

And it talked about people living in greenland, i find it fascinating how they live and would do anything for a simpler life such as thiers.

Some things that are really weird are that in winter there is 1-2 hours sunlight, and in summer there can be 24 hours of pure sunlight. It must feel so weird.

Would do anything? What's stopping you doing something and getting yourself that simpler life?

Of course you could. At least for 6 months or so.

And there are plenty of places I would go rather than greenland/iceland.

Some friends of mine went to Greenland in a small sailing boat, they moored up in the harbour of some small town and went ashore, had a bit of food, a drink and went back to the boat happy that they had had a nice night out.

As they were settling in for the night they heard a bump and several women came aboard, these women then attempted to get into the accomodation and were actually trying to get the lads to shag them, the lads all being decent, married chaps declined politely but the ladies were quite insistant.
It ended up that they left that night as the ladies got annoyed and were quite stroppy that none of the lads would have a go.

Someone I know works as a pilot doing contract flights and used to do a lot of work a year or so in Greenland. He said it's a nice place to visit but once you have explored everywhere it gets boring (and cold). Most the staff there just get drunk and sh*g apparently.
