All these dance groups are the same. Just frantically waving their limbs about whilst the song changes every 10 seconds, and they normally have a little kid in there to give them a cuteness bonus. Totally unoriginal in my opinion.
Absolutely spot on.

This show and X-factor do rub me the wrong way

X-factor is just a pop star manufacturing process... find someone who fits the mould, can do a few cover versions, wrap it up for christmas, bish bash bosh, christmas number 1. Rinse. Repeat. People lap it up every year like a bunch of zombies.

Mrs has got BGT on now and all I keep seeing is Diversity-esqu dancers, singers and chancers, wheres the actual talent and variety?. The purple rain girl, yeah she could sing. But at the end of the day she's not the finest talent the world has seen.... she just looks that way because of the hoards of dross that were on stage before her. The audience get hysterical and judges lay on gushing praise and the inspirational music plays. Yes it was good.... but c'mon, it wasn't that good. Makes me gag.

Plus proper artists must be gutted... all that writing your own lyrics, playing and learning your own instruments, learning to play with others in harmony and not getting very far, only to see someone who's photogenic and can sing in the shower a bit get a fast pass to the top by merely singing songs that have already been sung. Cover versions do not an artist make (oh yeah an I hate the way these guys refer to themselves as artists, and refer to it as "my music".... give over, you stood on stage and sang someone else's song, usually in a way that wasn't terribly imaginative, big whoop).

Do love Simon though. You can see it in his face when people are on stage. All he is seeing is £ signs. Pretty boy/girl? Check, can sing? Check, people don't hate them? check... excellent, bang a few cover versions out, then once I've made my money, cast them off to see if they float on their own and move on to the next one and repeat. His only problem is how long he can keep it going before the country is literally bled dry of good people. We've already seen it IMO, a lot of the X-factor drones are merely average but get through because the rest of the punters are akin to Vic Reeves pub singer round off of shooting stars
