pree controls hologram program (hardlight?)

kryton had his neural network jammed by electric waves inducing similar results.....or..it made the story flow better.

very good episode felt more jelled together as a team.

That was pretty good and I'm glad to say my previous predictions are being proven wrong. Maybe it's just me, or were there a few subtle digs at the previous poorer episodes when Rimmer was talking about the show he had recorded?

I watched that fearing the worst but I really enjoyed it. The Chinese whiskers had me in stitches!

I can't explain why Kryten was affected. But Rimmer was upgraded when they boarded that ship with the lonely robot. Can't think what he was called now.

Have enjoyed both so far, hope it keeps up. Still not sure it's wise of Dave to be showing series 4 straight after though...

A white hole....laugh

Edited due to iPad's predictive cock ups. Wonder if apple had a hand in the OS on tonight's show lol

Pretty good quality episode, and next weeks looks good too.
Robert Llewellyn said it takes a fraction of the time to get his make up on now, this you can tell..

Watched the first episode, it was OKish, some jokes were slow and cranky, and it played out more like a panto or stage play. Tried to watch the second, just too much horrible canned laughter. Switched of after two wk jokes and bucket loads of sterile laughing.

Funny to see a fat Kryton.biggrin

Must just be me who thinks this isn't a patch on series 1 - 6 then. :s

Red Dwarf has never been the same since Rob Grant stopped writing. Why is that anyway? And why can't he give Naylor a hand these days? They were a magic duo.

RD 7, 8, and 10 just don't have the same depth of invention, story and jokes, even the characters don't seem as deep and that includes the Cat! IMO it's a bit of a mistake to show older series at the same time as the new, because you can plainly see how much better it was.

Ah well. I'll keep watching. Can't help but think Dave are blowing all the best jokes on each episode trailer as well. That could actually be my problem. Maybe I should stop watching Dave altogether? Now that would be the mother of all self foot shootings...

Its not a patch on classics, yet, but not a bad return at all and expect it will get better each episode as gets into its stride.

And yes, always better to avoid any trailers.

Lots if detail in the background, note the Ramscoop logo in the engine bay and the JMC logo everywhere. I'm thinking if this a success we will see JMC branded toys etc.

I enjoyed it but cat needs to be cattier and the weird imaginative writing needs to be more imaginative but Jesus looks promising.

It does feel as if every bit of the show is being made by people who were either involved in or big fans of the originals

I've enjoyed both episodes now to be honest, it's getting back to how good it used to be imo.

I didn't like last nights episode as much as the first one, it had its parts (the self telling-off scene had me laughing and the guitar bit had me in stitches) but stuff like the group dance at the end and the swearing - that would never have happened in the original series.

I can't actually get used to the swearing in it, ok - so it's only the occasional "bd" but it's not RD, imo.

Enjoyed this week's one - definitely has the old RD feel to it. The crazy doctor/dentist was brilliant, lol
