Like so many other great shows, slow start, great in the middle, went on too long.

This... They got going, got their swing in order, and then ran out of ideas, IMHO.

I bought the boxset over a month ago and have been working my way through them.

It did take a while to get going, but I would say the first two series are still well worth watching. What comes after is even better than I remembered.

Season 5 and 6 were brilliant, but then it was way too long before season 7 which never lived up to the same standard

Very good show up until they lost Red Dwarf, and the plot. Dropped to sub par rubbish when they went stopped the live recordings.

Not a guys show imo. I watched it from the very first episode, forced the family to watch it! (when I was 14) had the videos, t-shirts etc.

My sister is probably an even bigger fan.

I think it is brilliant! About time I wathced them again.
