I used to like the Compare the Meercats advert, but now I think they have taken it too far, trying to sell cuddly toys rather than insurance comparison.

On the other hand, the irritating Go Compare adverts have now got so bonkers that I am bent double with laughter.

Does anyone else give a fig?

The go compare man is NOT funny and shouldnt be allowed to coninuous inflict himself on me. I will NEVER use that company because of him and the marketing manager that said in an interview regarding numerous complaints (I think he is the most complained about since the crazy frog. Plz correct if wrong) that his intention is to IRRITATE AND ANNOY people so they remember the name of the company!!! What self respecting company tries to annoy potential customers? Im sorry but no!

Can't say fairer than that really. I would never use that company either because of those ads.

The meerkats have lost their edge though recently, it has to be said.

The Meercats aren't selling toys, you get them for free when you buy insurance through their website. They were going for £30-50 on eBay back when they first started giving them away, not sure how much they are selling for now.

Frankly I'll buy from whoever is cheapest.

I don't care about the adverts.

Nah, the laptopomobob and hospital adverts have been great smile . Go Compare ads are and always have been ste, along with the current Money Supermarket ads with the Patrick Stewart or soundalike 'EPIC!' voice overs.

as soon as that go compare ad comes on I change the channel. seems i'm not only boycotting go compare, but inadvertently also the programmes that have it in their ad breaks!

Clever marketing but I wouldn't use either of them. They're just portal comparison services provided by an intermediary who is paid on the business.

Maybe useful for indicative prices, but if you go direct to the insurer you'll often get better deals.

I definitely wouldn't use them for non-insurance products either.

They've both exceeded their development potential. Meerkats I still like but the Go Compare man is just getting silly now.

I'd happily tow the Confused.com team out into deep water and sink them too.

That fat in the go compare advert should be ball-gagged and placed in Anders Breivik's cell with a sign around his neck saying 'I'm the head of the Norwegian immigration policy-making committee'

I would never use go compare and that's purely down to the advert.
I think compare the market need to think of something new but it doesn't irritate me enough to change channel or mute the tv like the go compare ads do.
