Go Compare vs Meercats
Discussion
I used to like the Compare the Meercats advert, but now I think they have taken it too far, trying to sell cuddly toys rather than insurance comparison.
On the other hand, the irritating Go Compare adverts have now got so bonkers that I am bent double with laughter.
Does anyone else give a fig?

The go compare man is NOT funny and shouldnt be allowed to coninuous inflict himself on me. I will NEVER use that company because of him and the marketing manager that said in an interview regarding numerous complaints (I think he is the most complained about since the crazy frog. Plz correct if wrong) that his intention is to IRRITATE AND ANNOY people so they remember the name of the company!!! What self respecting company tries to annoy potential customers? Im sorry but no!

Can't say fairer than that really. I would never use that company either because of those ads.The meerkats have lost their edge though recently, it has to be said.

Nah, the laptopomobob and hospital adverts have been great . Go Compare ads are and always have been ste, along with the current Money Supermarket ads with the Patrick Stewart or soundalike 'EPIC!' voice overs.Clever marketing but I wouldn't use either of them. They're just portal comparison services provided by an intermediary who is paid on the business.
Maybe useful for indicative prices, but if you go direct to the insurer you'll often get better deals.
I definitely wouldn't use them for non-insurance products either.
