Anyone who likes the Killing might want to catch the Bridge on BBC4 for their next fix of Scandi Crime Drama.

There's an old 911 in it, I love it already.

Looks to be a good one. I always watch the BBC4 foreign dramas on a Saturday.

Looks like they've gone for the maverick cop image in a big way:
1. Lives alone but easily gets a shag. Check.
2. Drives unusual car that the baddies would spot a mile off. Check.
3. Winds up colleagues. Check.

Just watched the first 2 episodes. Hopefully with 10 installments the story will rattle along nice and quickly.

I'm sure we'll miss out on some subtleties in the plot as most of us won't be able to tell who is speaking Danish and who is speaking Swedish.

Maverick? After 1 episode she seems like a care in the community case!

Still, a great opener if you can get past her... hopefully it'll become more relevant that she's weird...

PS Series 2 of Braquo starts on FX on Sunday too! smile

Taking advantage of my "at rest" status, I -ahem- acquired and watched the whole series yesterday. IMO it's certainly worth sticking with.

Saw this on iPlayer and it looks promising. Even more interesting seen as though I'm living out near Malmo at the moment.

I have to say too, the strange autistic-y cop turns me on a bit.

Getting interesting now, hard to see how it's all going to tie together in the last two episodes.

I've really enjoyed this. Way better than "The Killing 2" or "Those Who Kill" imo - a bit hokey and OTT but still intriguing with the twists and turns - and the interaction between the rueful Danish cop and the autistic Swede is great stuff - and very well acted by both.

My guess? Jens, the "dead" copper is the chap visiting Martin's wife and is also the online chat partner who August thinks is his ex girlfriend.

I reckon Martin shagged Jens' wife around the time of the crash, I think it was the time that August's mum and Martin split up because of his infidelity, I think it was Jen's wife he was rattling.

I also think that's why he didn't kill Martin when he had the chance, just booted him in the nuts - It wasn't Martin's time to die, didn't fit in with the meticulous schedule.

I can't figure out the role of the homeless worker bloke with the 70s throwback dress sense (forget his name)... Perhaps he helped Jens to disappear in someway in the first place?

Anyway, gripping stuff. smile

Think you're on the right track there Bedford. I can't quite place the 70's dude either.

A good start last night! With Martin no longer in series 3, I wondered how they'd progress things...

I missed it last night, so just watched the first one on Iplayer - Sad that Martin is in it no longer, but it's pulled me straight in, absolutely loving it.
