Well, that spoiled a good series. Why can't scriptwriters resist the temptation to make the police, and/or their families, either victims or criminals?

And, while I'm on the subject, when a deadly virus is about be be released at an EU summit, wouldn't you just call one of the dozens of police outside, or one of the dozens of security services personnel inside, rather than waste time driving across the city?

Concur re Oliver, just too convenient. The pathologists analysis of the virus cell from the dead body seemed a bit far fetched to me, being able to deduce all the various characteristics and properties of it in such a short time and from a mutated / dead cell.

However I thought the rest of the episode and series overall was excellent. I liked to have seen Rasmus get his arse kicked by Saga though smile

Is it coincidence that all the quality Scandinavian dramas have female lead characters? What was the last British quality drama with a female lead, Prime Suspect?
We've had Broadchurch and The Fall recently with strong female-cop leads.

The Fall was outstanding and I am waiting patiently for the second series. Anderson was excellent!

Have a read through this for those interested: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/tv/posts/The-Bridge-Liv...

One of the script writers explains that its their "style" not to bring closure to all the characters. Pretty frustrating, but all in all, a fantastic series.
Still can't get my head around how they'll break Martin loose for the next series, we'll just have to wait and see!

Spoilered as I refer to the link...

It would have to be some sort of "Dallas Bobby Ewing I had a dream" type plot that would allow Martin to be out and about so soon after he murdered his son's killer. I hope we find out what Martin's sentence was, but it would be totally unrealistic for him (a serving policeman) not to be sent down for murder (regardless of who the victim was, or why he did it).

Totally understandable, but a great shame as he was a great actor/character and sidekick for Saga, some of his body language and facial expressions were absolutely fantastic. The bemused look on his face and the interaction between him and the guy Saga used to pick up in the club were priceless.

That's such a shame as he made a great contribution to the pairing, and will be missed. I liked the chemistry between them both.

Similar to the the pairing of Sarah Lund and Jan Meyer in The killing ( original Danish version)
Shame they killed him off.

I need a reminder within seven days of the start. Do we know how many episodes, as I like to bingewatch.

O/T I thought I had all six episodes of Unforgotten and watched 1 to 4, then found out the other two were repeats of episode four banghead.

Got up to date on season 3 last night. I think the new lead, Henrik, has been excellent! Can't wait for next week.

I'm enjoying it so far. I'm not sure who the guys who stole the bag from the pregnant girl are or what the woman CEO who is having an affair with her best friend's son has to do with the story but I suppose we'll find out in time (unless I've missed something, in which case please let me know).
