Love Bron/Broen. Probably my favourite TV series in recent years, and it edges The Killing as it's never been flabby or meandering. Nor does it ever feel like the teists are contrived.

Plus, that 911! Want.

I can't understand why Saga would have a 911. To me, it makes no sense. Her only interests are her work and sex (not love). It's not the kind of car that I think an autistic would buy, unless they were fixated by cars (which she isn't).

Doesn't stop it being a nice car, though.

Yes.. But probably to her its just a car.. Probably the first car she bumped
into on the car lot.
She would not understand why we love it so much..

I seem to recall something like that was mentioned (or at least suggested) in S1.

Yep. Martin comments on the "nice car" when they first start working together. IIRC she shrugs and looks perplexed and gets on with whatever they were doing.

To be fair, she's a woman, she probably bought it because it was green biggrin

PS I justify my horribly misogynistic comment by the fact that my SIL once told me she was getting a new car. I asked what it was and she replied "A yellow one" biggrin

After wasting my time last Saturday with Hostages, I just caught up on last weeks Bridge. Did not expect the end to ep 3! Makes it more interesting though smile. One thing I've noticed is that Saga has rubbed something inside her top lip a few times, presumably this is some treatment Sofia Helin has for her scar, and they put it into the series.

I watch it from recordings as well. I pause the start of every bit of dialogue, read it, then play the scene. It sounds childish, but it means that I can enjoy the script AND the acting. I found that reading the subtitles in realtime meant I missed some subtle stuff in the acting (and background) wink

Article about Saga's Porsche in The Guardian. Which Porsche nut wants to go through it to pick out all the errors?

I think you chaps are miles off with the Porsche. Someone with her condition would know exactly what she's got, right down to knowing her own chassis number. A sort of dispassionate enthusiast wobble

One thing about this series that I wonder about: What language is the original in? Does Saga speak Swedish and Martin speak Danish, or do they both speak Swedish? Or Danish?

The Danes speak Danish with each other and the Swedes Swedish but I think Martin's speaking Swedish to Saga at work.

It is also confusing as to which characters are Danish and which are Swedish (other than by their car number plates smile ), and I always get the feeling that there is some subtlety we're missing by not knowing.

I'm liking how... ...they've killed off all the 'foot soldiers' from the first half of series and now focussing on the secrets of the rich/powerful characters behind the conspiracy for the 2nd half.

Although... ...the sub-plot about the Nanny and Saga breaking into the house to find the tablets was a little far-fetched, but probably necessary to get Martin back into the Family home and looking into her sister's death.

There are also some Scots words creeping in...

We watched S1 in a feast lasting a few days. S2 is recording to do the same. Wonderful.

Can't imagine watching the UK or US remakes. Why?

Some people just won't watch anything with subtitles. We know them as idiots and they miss out on loads of good TV and films.

No spoiler here other than Ep 5 has a cliffhanger.

I'm really glad that Ep 6 followed immediately. I don't think I could have lasted 7 days without knowing.

Knowing what? I don't want to spoil it. You'll need to watch smile.

Edited because I got the ep. nos. wrong (doh!)
