Iron Sky-One Day only!

The Revolver website has the DVD release date as 28th May and it is allegedly available to pre-order from them.
Looks like the "one day" thing wasn't a marketing ploy and Revolver really don't care about giving the film a decent cinema release.
Could still be marketing - they realised it would possibly be more profitable for a "limited" cinematic release, and then push the DVD sales.Looks like the "one day" thing wasn't a marketing ploy and Revolver really don't care about giving the film a decent cinema release.
The tone of the mails from them does tend to come across as more marketing talk than being seriously pissed off at the distributors.

I have a guitar lesson tomorrow night so I have got my order in with PLAY for the Blu Ray on the 28th. Will just have to watch it on my 7 1/2 foot projection screen instead, no great hardship I suppose Looks like the "one day" thing wasn't a marketing ploy and Revolver really don't care about giving the film a decent cinema release.

And now it's running for as long as "demand dictates".
Interesting PR exercise.
Surely it's an obvious cynical marketing ploy? Why would they deliberately limit their profits when they have presumably invested their money? So they say "1 day only" to get people talking, and oh look, no we're going to keep it open.Interesting PR exercise.
What I find stranger is why people seem to be going nuts over what sounds like a 3rd rate B-movie based on a Sunday Sport headline!

Just got back from watching the film. I loved it I had no expectations except for it to me a mildly entertaining B movie and it delivered very nicely. Pacing was a bit off in places but it was a good romp and genuinely laugh out loud funny in places. Lots of nice digs at American foreign policy too - which is never a bad thing
Oh, and Julia Dietze...

all the reviews I have read have been absolutely dire,
Mark Kermode gave it a very good one, and he's not one to pull any punches.I've just seen it, and quite enjoyed it

It's supposed to be, that's the point A cult movie, without the wait for cult status.
Crap ending though, sort of punctured it a bit for me.
Anyone got a link for the DVD? The only I can find is the €300 collector's edition
Edit: ignore me, I'm an idiot.

Edit 2: Hmmm, interesting comments on the reviews. May be worth waiting...
