Another vote for Event Horizon (even if you're not into Sci-fi/space films - I'm not, but it's still a great film).
The Ring's not bad.

Show me the man who says Wrong Turn is the worst film he's ever seen, and I'll show you a man who hasn't seen Avatar! Wrong Turn features three deformed West Virginia mountain men chasing a sweaty Eliza Dushku around a forest - how bad could it be?!

The sequel is better, mainly because it has more of a sense of humour

Wring turn 4 - Back Where We Started. Seriously though, I have never wanted 2 hours of my life back more than at the end of watching Wrong Turn. My wife and two friends turned to each other stoney faced, laughed and said WTF!

Another one for Event Horizon here.. always found it pretty jumpy. obikaii said: 30 days of night. a savage vampire tale, should get her squealing. I watched at and i've got the say the bluray DTS sound-track is one of the best i've heard, very engaging and it made watching the film very atmospheric.

EV is worth a go, alhough a bit overrated IMO. If you're going to watch The Ring make sure it's the Japanese original. Much darker and scarier. Same goes with the original REC, much better than the US remake (Quarantine) A Nightmare on Elm Street? (Original) Halloween? (Original) American Werewolf in London (Helps if you use the tube )

"Dont Look Now" Quite an old film I haven't watched for a while but still remember it as the most suspenseful and creepiest. Good cast, too - Donald Sutherland leads.

Definitely watch Let the Right One In (the original, not the remake), even if it's just for the swimming pool scene

Pandorum is quite good to begin with, loses its edge pretty quickly but still atmospheric enough to be a bit freaky
