Not sure if it's out on DVD yet but if it isn't I'm sure it'll be due very soon. I'd recommend Woman in Black with that bloke out of the Harry Potter movies.

Went to see this in the cinema with the OH and she proper sh*t herself (and I have to admit to being a little unnerved too). It's funny as we both regularly watch slasher horrors without batting an eyelid and they usually make me laugh rather than scare me tbh but this was a bit disturbing.

that will definatley get a reaction from her!
Yes, it did.

As a nutritionist, she commented that the girl has a digestive problem!

I told her about 1 man, 1 jar and we decided not to put that on smile

Last night we watched High Tension which was barking, and The Ring (the yank remake).

The Ring was cleverer and smarter all round, but not really that scary (we both thought it was trying too hard with its 'jump cuts to people's dead faces'). Good film though.

High Tension scared her more as it was more lifelike, based on something that could happen. Also, the bit with the petrol disc cutter was epiceek

Tonight; a change of mood. Event Horizon, I think.

Or maybe The Orphanage. I've heard that's really disturbing.

She is already begging for mercy. 'I don't want to be scared any more'. Buckle up, I told her, we are just beginning.

One thing I have learnt? Hollywood has nothing on the twisted imagination of the French hehe

Couldnt agree more. Some scenes in this were quite disturbing.

And I havent watched the Grudge since it was released.

One that isnt really scary, but me and my GF both enjoyed was Let Me In. Excellent story and some parts might make you jump

Still can't travel on the London Tube without looking around to check I'm not being chased down the platform connecting corridors.

i'm the same, especially when its late at night and the corridors are empty.
hehe My first job, at the around the time the film was made, involved me commuting and changing tubes at Tottenham Court Rd just where Gerald Bringsley cops it., although the layout has changed a bit now. At the same time, I took a girlfriend to see it at a cinema near Piccadilly circus (she spent most of the time hiding behind her hands), have to say, it was very eerie to walk around there after watching it!

It's very dated but still a very good film. It has humour, sadness and the ability to make you jump. It also has a young Jenny Agutter naked in the shower, so a bonus, or as she herself put it "perfect fantasy fodder".

Get a new copy with surround sound, turn up the volume and at the moors scene, watch her cack herself. smile

Stephen King's IT? Really? The one with the big rubber spider at the end? I want her to be scared, not laugh.

Anyway, we liked The Orphanage. It was sad :'(

Insidious - to be fair, the first 3/4 of the film builds tension better than the last 1/4 fulfils but worth a watch.

I also saw a trailer for a horror when I went to see Avengers Assemble recently that looked pretty good - had a guy and girl walking around an old house in the trailer? Cannot remember the name tho.

Creep is a good call actually.

If you want a silly one that is actually a little unsettling in places maybe try Rob Zombies House of 1000 corpses? It's more funn y thatn anything else but I enjoyed it

Tried watching it night before last. Hated it, which is rare for me, as I'll watch most things.

I saw the last 10 minutes or so of a film called Quarantine on channel 5 (I think) the other day.

That looked like it would have a few jumpy moments in it.
