The state of our student house after one year suggests it's a conservative prediction biggrin

Something squiffy is going on, it's hardly going to be EMP-esque if the internal combustion is out of action too.
The producers evidently weren't aware of diesel engines with mechanical fuel pumps. I can pretend though. biggrin

Probably; it really doesn't take long at all.

Also fine, but in the land of the steam train, the N-reg Peugeot 306 1.9d is king. wink

Not sure why we would revert to a pre industrial civilisation without electricity. There is always steam power and there are plenty of working machines left to show us how it is done.
In the trailer there are stopped cars and planes falling out of the sky so isn't it all power that's gone, as in The Day The Earth Stood Still?

Doubt they'd get anything like that overgrown, but you know its all there for dramatic effect man ...

I'm going to try and watch this, but i'm prepared for a half-assed explanation for the whole electricity stopping, barely believable, gives you a kinda lost finale feeling.

Absolutely, I have a three acre plot that was clear as day, I then made the mistake of leaving it to nature for two years and when I returned I could not even drive onto it. Some of the plants were 10 feet tall and that is no exaggeration. Nature reclaims its lands very quickly

Like the concept, but all the perfectly manicured actors & actresses in spotless clothes makes it just to hard to suspend reality for me.

Same here. The Walking Dead has done the grimy sweaty reality of post electricity world brilliantly, Revolution looks hilarious in comparison.biggrin

And isn't bad. I quite like it.

Hulu and NBC.com have the pilot available if you can't wait for it in the UK.

First episode has been available for over a week.

Undecided, the pilot did seem a little rushed. Worth watching for the moment, but there's always the risk of it being a typical Abrams series - interesting for a while and then huge disappointment at the end.

It certainly has that potential. No mention of Rambaldi so far, which is a plus.

Watched the 1st episode last night, seems OK, needs a few episodes to see how it pans out but I like the premise of it so far.

Available on iTunes for free, (the pilot, that is). Probably US only though.
