Some diesel engines don't have glow plugs at all. Google compression ignition... wink

No lecky bits needed at all on some old heavy duty diesels - but then the writers of this pap clearly have done all their research while sitting on the loo staring at the ceiling so it's hardly surprising they don't know that.
Pretty much any US vehicle fitted with a diesel engine before 2000 would run, and run on vegetable oil. That's most diesel Dodge Rams, school buses, eighteen wheelers, pre-1995 Hummers, and numerous others. Of course it would have ended up looking like Mad Max by candlelight if they'd done that.

Please tell me how you would turn the engine to make it fire? And please don't say turn it by hand. A modern diesel engine has such a high compression ratio that I doubt you could turn it.

But I doubt a car engine is set up this way, as the assumption is going to be that you'll be using the electric starter.

Another vote for expatshield here. Only trouble with using that Ive found so far when on iPlayer is it only gives me the live audio feeds. I can watch the recorded stuff properly though.

Works fine for me watching f1 live, and MOTD etc.

A bigger hand crank, or roll it down a hill. Perhaps even tow it to 15mph with a horse or two and then drop the clutch. If it was a choice between doing that and walking I think I know what would win.

And how long will the diesel last? How many diesels have compression venting and can be hand cranked?

Any idea when/where this will be shown in the UK?
why wait? wink
Because if we all download, the viewing figures for when it's supposed to be watched will be rubbish and the network will can it.

Then, you'll all be on here moaning that a show you like has been cancelled.

I'd be waiting for decades to see anything in Bulgaria. Even then it would have the same monotonous voice doing the dubbing for all characters, man, woman, or child. Unbearable.

That'a fair enough and I can understand that, but everyone else?

Seriously, it'll get worse, when everyone downloads from the US day after release, at the very least such shows will stop being exported as the core target audiance wil have already seen them all on a US streaming site or whatever.

In my view it's cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Maybe it's just me, getting fed up with good shows being canned, but streaming such sites is probably one of the reasons.

I usually buy the ones I want even after watching them... I like having a physical copy.

Just hate waiting several months (up to 18 or so) waiting for a series to be released to the uk and in some cases not at all.

That will still impact viewing figures which is what they base their re-newel of contracts on, not DVD sales.

You are shooting yourselves in the foot by streaming.

But they can them based on USA viewing figures, not UK!

We were not 1/2way through S1 of Alcatraz when they announced it would be no more, USA was pretty much done & dusted.
