I loved Taken, and was really looking forward to the sequel. That trailer does not fill me with confidence frown
I think it looks good, but then I thought the Prometheus trailers looked good.

Liam needs to tread carefully on this one..the rent-a-baddie is Boris 'The Blade' Yurinov. Oh - he was the baddie in Batman Begins as well and er, M.I.2.And,um,The Saint.

you would never be able to find your daughter and kill your way to the top and recue her.
I've got time to have one and get to my 70s to find out.

I'm no longer a child so would not generally one for vacuous 'action' films. I wouldn't normally seek them out, but I did happen to see 'Taken' at the cinema and was pleasantly surprised. My wife and I both thought it was good. It is a cliché, but often less is more.

We also had the misfortune of seeing the entirely terrible Quantum of Solace (only because it was a Bond film) around the same time -More is Less?. Needless to say, we won't be watching the next Bond film.

I watched this last night on Film 4, and to be honest, I think it is largely forgotten due to it being utter st.

It could have been good if Hollywood could get over making films where good wins and the baddie gets it. An example being Knowing, Hollywood refused to make it because the ending is a bit grim.

Anyway back on topic. This guy single handedly killed a bunch of Gangsters and slave traders in a day after flying in from the other side of the world. Never mind being a Nazi Jedi Ninja Wolf Punching God. Why would you fk with the man?

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.

cool
Absolute class.

The first 'Taken' just came out of nowhere seemingly without and kind of movie fanfare, I am quite up on my films and I hadn't heard of it.

I got it in DVD when a few friends were round one night and we watched it.

Everyone thought it was absolutely brilliant.

One of the best films I have ever seen and I mean that!

No fanfare Huh? You sure it wasn't up for a Palm D'or at Cannes? Maybe it's too esoteric for that eh? Then perhaps some obscure award from the Sundance Festival?
No?

I wonder why.

You do realise that a film doesn't HAVE to win any awards to be really quite enjoyable?

No I didn't think of that. Doh!

Do you think that Taken 2 will be bypassed for accolades as well,or just maybe this time a movie in the Taken franchise will get what it deserves?
