Watched 'All In Good Time' (which is set and filmed in Bolton) last week here in Bolton.
Set in the Asian community, it's a modernized version of the 1966 film 'The Family Way' (Hywell Bennett, Hayley Mills, John Mills) which was also filmed in Bolton. Both are based on the stage-play 'All in Good Time' by the Bolton playwright and author Bill Naughton.
The trouble with films set up here (the Susan George movie 'Spring and Port Wine' is another that comes to mind) is that they always seem intent on portraying Bolton as consisting of nothing other than factories and terrace houses, without showing any of the more appealing stuff.

Dr Jekyll said: Saw American werewolf in London at the cinema at the Oxford street/Tottenham court road junction. Then got the tube home..... Stella ran a promotion a few years ago where they showed the film in a disused underground station... awesome idea, would love to have won tickets to that.

The GameIn San Francisco, on the opening night. There was much a whoopin' and a hollerin' from the natives as the camera panned around the city. Seem to recall it being a decent film but not seen it since.

Watched Braveheart in Stirling - in fact my house at the time was a (hefty) stones throw from where the battle of Stirling Bridge took place. Wasn't that filmed in Eire?

Some was filmed Ireland - mainly the big battles. They filmed in Scotland for a couple of months too.

Not a film as such, but U Be Dead was filmed in my town. Spent most the time trying to find road names on Google Maps lol.

Watching Battle LA on opening night in Universal City LA was an "experience" to say the least, every alien killed got a shout or a cheer, every US Marine shot got a "f king alien" comment, and big cheer and shouts at the end when the alien ship got blown up.....probably the worst cinema night Ive been to. Also saw Day After Tomorrow" in NYC, by comparison to the Battle LA very tame, except when the Hollywood sign got wiped out by tornado's, again much cheering and "f k you LA" comments.

Chariots of Fire was released in 1981. The future Mrs Caziques was in her last year at St. Andrews university - the beginning and end sequences (which say something like Brighton 1921) were filmed with the university Rugby Club on the West Sands in St Andrews
When she went to see it at the local flea pit a big cheer went up.

waiting for the new zombie x movie (OR WHATEVER ITS CALLED) to come out, (the one with Brad Pitt in it).
They filmed in Scotland.
I was working at a chemical plant in grangemouth so was actually allowed much further than the public and got within feet of the set (actually got told to turn off my bike as it was making that much noise it would upset filming) so quite want to see what it looks like on screen.

Had the delight of watching Schindler's List in Berlin during a wet weekend in December. Dialogue in German. Can't say it was the most uplifting way to spend a Saturday evening & tended to put a damper on any plans...
