Wifey used to live in one of the pubs used in "She'll Be Wearing Pink Pyjamas". She watched on telly in her bedroom upstairs . I watched "Deep Blue Sea" on a cross channel ferry (well, water's water, right)

Watched Braveheart in Stirling - in fact my house at the time was a (hefty) stones throw from where the battle of Stirling Bridge took place. Wasn't that filmed in Eire? Some was filmed Ireland - mainly the big battles. They filmed in Scotland for a couple of months too. Ah right. I like Stirling, especially around the monument, lovely place. Good to hear. I'm currently very close to the Monument, and my house is not far away either.

I was invited to watch Hangover 2 a couple of weeks ago when working in Bangkok.
So I got some beers in, a few snacks, and sat down in the games room to watch it, within 10 minutes, the ignorant northern pr1ck who'd invited a couple of us, had to stop the film to answer his mobile, and then stated -
'It was that fat adulterous idiot(those are my words) on the phone, he's popping down for a drink with this week's woman (his wife and son had flown home about 5 days before FFS!), and so there's no point watching the film, and so he promptly turned it off!
So I took my beer back to my flat, returned and drank all their super expensive brandy, and then went off out to explore some more of Pat Pong.

"Wasn't that filmed in Eire?" - Just out of curiousity, but would you describe BMW's as being made in Deutschland? Do you go to Espana on holidays. Strange that you'd use the Gaelic term for Ireland?

I watched Spy Game(2001) whilst in Stevenage. They used the GSK building as CIA HQ.

I read The Beach by Alex Garland (made into a film with Leo DiCaprio) whilst doing the exact same journey as the lead, down through Thailand and over to the Islands. I was tempted to go looking for a hideaway beach..
On the way back I watched the film on the Khao San Road in Bangkok, what screwed me was the Thai sticks that night. Basically by the end of the night I thought I was drinking with Robert Carlyle/Begbie
Memo: never go drinking with Robert Carlyle

Watched Band of Brothers at my mates cottage in Normandy, apparently the germans parked a Tiger in the house next door to cover the Germans withdrawal from Caen.

Terminator 2 in LA not long after its release. One of my first visits to the US and remember driving past the storm drains on the highway and visualising the chase with the truck and the motorcycle.
