Anyone else enjoy this?

Fantastic footage and the scale of the Zeppelin! Good positive story without the usual Hindenburg downer. When I win the Eurolottery I'm going to commission LZ131 "The Hugo Eckener"

Wonderful airmanship and what an ability to read the weather.

One anecdote was that approaching the Golden Gate bridge he ordered the engines to be idled and slow right down. He was challenged that they would lose time on the flight. He replied that he wanted the sunset to be at the right level so the ship would be silhouetted against the bridge to give the best possible view and best publicity. Top Man!

If you liked that, do yourself a favour and get hold of a copy of 'Dr. Eckener's Dream Machine' by Douglas Botting. A wonderful book with lots of coverage of the round-the-world trip.

It was interesting but the diary of the bint got a little tedious and sentimental, mostly debating whether she was going to stay with some geezer or not. Great footage but would have preferred some decent facts in the mix.

Sorry, it was on BBC 4 last night. It was a repeat from a while ago.

"Slide Rule" by Neville Shute is a great read on the R100 / R101 development.
See also the DVDs The Golden Age of the Zeppelin and the channel 4 doc "Airships"

I've been on the Zeppelin NT ;-)
