I loved the series' and still pop back for a few re runs on SKY.

I could never understand why the actress that was Daphne spoke with such an awful British accent if she really was British or was I misinformed and it wasn't her but Niles that was British? or maybe both??

After being able to know the next line to be spoken in each episode; I've moved on to the old Two and a Half Men; excellent comedy writing too biggrin again I have got far too familiar with the episodes so looking for a new sitcom to use as moving wallpaper smile

Cheers was something I watched when I was still at school!!!! YAY, I'm not as old as I thought!! cool

One for the Americans.....do British Actors playing Americans sound as bad as Americans actors playing British?

I can think of quite a few yanks who are very good at English accents.

Good list, also Heath Ledger, Scarlett JOhannsoon, Johnny Depp, Chris Sarandon, the list is almost endless, there are many many good American actors out there.

Heath Ledger ... American
He was Australian. Johnny Depp's English accents are pure comedy.

They started showing Frasier from S1E1 again. The woman's English accent was much worse in the beginning.
For me the farce element is still too heavy. And as someone said above the characters are so irritating. I think he was reigned in Cheers, which they also started recently, currently at S3E16. It was much funnier and wittier than I recall...and also more serious and brutal sometimes, some of the fights that Sam and Diane had were quite brutal.

One incorrect. Depp's accents are pure quality.

Frasier is a farce comedy though, kinda goes hand in hand with the upper class aspect with it. The farce pricks the balloon of pretentiousness, wot wot.

Yeah, I do like it, just gets a bit samey sometimes.

Incidentally talking of accents, Glynis Johns was Diane's mum in Cheers. Was quite nice to hear her clipped English accent in it.biggrin

Forgot this moment till I saw it again the other day.

From the episode where Frasier is organising Daphne's wedding to Donny and he has everyone over auditioning to play music, produce food and provide flowers.

And Nile's new woman is a prostitute charging by the hour and he hasn't realised for the few days he's known her hehe

No appreciation here, seen the odd episode, seems pretentious self serving and basically a bit crap to be honest.

Best episode ever!

Love Frasier. Introduced my girlfriend to it and we watched every episode over a couple of years.
