What I don't understand is why Liber8 need to act as terrorists in 2012. Surely their goals could be better achieved through more peaceful means that would get people "on side". Instead they have the weight of the law against them and the Protector woman was able to pretty much walk into impersonating a Police Officer on the strength of it. She would have had a much harder time had they laid low for a little and then started infiltrating a Political Party or something.
Of course, that would probably make for a boring show.

Without giving too much away the actions of Liber8 make more sense later onOf course, that would probably make for a boring show.
Well, series finished, and I'm really impressed. Will spoiler for those who haven't finished it...
They could have gone down the route of her using her suit to be some sort of supercop type every week, killing off the terrorists early on then tackling crime in the city. That would have been very easy, and very generic.
But they had her suit broken early on so it's basically just her with her fancy HUD and Alec in the background. A bit like Person of Interest.
It was a fairly predictable ending, but didn't lessen the excitement any. Will be really interesting to see how it develops next season. Glad to see that the big black dude has been killed along with the old guy, hopefully next season will see a bigger role for Lexa Doig as the new leader of the terrorist group.
One thing that grated though, was her shagging Kellog. She's been thinking of her husband and kid constantly, then just happily forgets about them for a bit of schlong? Don't think so, not given how they've portrayed her character.
So do we think her husband was in on the plot?

Ah yes, the other chap did see her, forgot that. I think she'll continue, but with him following/investigating her a little bit. She could probably get away with claiming what he saw was in his head due to a building landing on top of him.
I was hoping she'd tell Carlos the truth too, but I guess that may be left for next season.

I haven't even got round to watching the 2nd episode yet, so I won't be clicking those spoiler blocks.
Having said that, it didn't really capture me enough that I couldn't wait for the 2nd one so I don't know of I will get round to it or not.
Keep with it, it does get better...Having said that, it didn't really capture me enough that I couldn't wait for the 2nd one so I don't know of I will get round to it or not.

Found it, watched it. There's a thin veneer of schmaltz they could do with losing and for me it has a slightly lightweight feel, also due to some plot developments which seem implausible. However it's interesting enough to stick with for now.
Yep... we could do without the crap pop music that creeps in 90% the way through each ep. But agreed, it's quite diverting and worth a watch.RichyBoy said:

A program where you're actually rooting for the bad guys who've come from the future to stop an Orwellian future. Makes me wonder whoes funding this sort of thing.
I refuse to watch this on principle. When I watched new series of Warehouse 13 on sci-fi an advert for this fking show pops up and takes up a quarter of the screen...whilst W13 is running!!! Seriously pisses me off. As soon as the new series of W13 is done, I'm not watching that stty channel again. DOGs have been really pissing me off lately.
